We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of August 2007. We hired a small cabin - number 34- which is along the back row of cabins - furthest from the car park and in a quiet location. The cabin was quite basic - a double bed, small table with two chairs, TV, fridge, tea/coffee maker, log burner and... more

Stayed here for two nights in June. Room was comfy, homely, clean and spacious. Location was great, staff very helpful. Cafe next to shop was cheap and very cheerful. Restaurant was also very good. Walked to upper and lower waterfalls - Highly recommended but go early in the morning to beat the crowds. We went at 7am and had the... more

We had a wonderful stay at Johnston Canyon Resort! Nice spot. Great setting. The hike to the lower falls, upper falls and the ink pots was fantastic. Great trail!! The weather was fine too. We were in 7 and 7a. We really liked both and probably enjoyed 7a even more. We will recommend Johnston Canyon to our friends and hope... more

I just wanted to say how happy we were with the facilities, the cabin was wonderful! We had a nice anniversary getaway, and things couldn't have gone smoother. The hike was especially pleasant and the crew were most helpful. The Cabin decor created a very heritage style ambiance. We will be sure to be back next year, and tell our... more

We decided to check out Johnston Canyon Resort because we saw some great reviews about Johnston Canyon on Trip advisor. One review we saw said something about Walmart? Edmonton person? Not sure what that was all about. The trail is busy at times but the scenery is terrific compared to other places we have stayed. The cabin was cozy and... more

This was a really convenient place to stop along the beautiful Bow Valley Parkway. Our cabin was rustic ... just the way we like it! ... peaceful and quiet and set back in the woods. It had three beds, all very comfortable, and gave us a good night's sleep. The walk along the creek to the falls was a great... more

Just got back from the Johnston Canyon resort cabins on the Canada Day long weekend. Paid $200 a night. I like staying at a rustic place in the mountains, but in this case it's really really rustic: no phone, no TV service (you have to rent VHS), not even an alarm clock. But, rustic should not be so overpriced at... more

We only stayed one night at the resort but we really enjoyed it. The price was great, compared to other places in Banff and Lake Louise. The cabin was really cute and seemed to be recently painted and the bathroom upgraded. We actually asked about staying a second night but, unfortunately, they were full so we moved on! Would recommend,... more

Various log cabins among the trees. Rooms are clean, well decorated, have fridge & coffee maker, but no TV reception in the area. However the cabins have VCRs, and videos can be hire at $5 per night. I feel this is cheeky to make a charge when there is no TV. Some rooms have an old-fashioned radio which only has... more

The lodges are clean, warm & cozy with lots of space and set in wonderful surroundings. They are set far enough apart so that you're not right on top of your neighbours. The resort facilities, including the restaurant are excellent. The Johnston canyon walk and the Inkpots trail are just steps from your door and well worth doing. Only a... more
