Chose this hotel as it was less than 200 a night, and we were only staying one night. The hotel is shabby and gross, the bed was so hard that my back and hips were sore the next day and I woke up like 4 times drying the night. No air conditioner just a cheesy 80's fan. Filthy outdoor windows... More

I normally stay at the Banff Park Lodge (which I quite like) and is owned by the same people however my poor planning landed me here in the Homestead Inn. I really do not have much good to say about this place, I gave it an extra star because I did believe that the staff who was working there did... More

Expensive for what it was but banff was expensive anyway. Rooms were clean and servicable although we could hear every step taken above us like a herd of elephants. Staff were very friendly. Located short walk from main strip Banff Avenue and a block away from the river. Disapointed that very little wildlife seen in 4 days from waterton to... More

This would be the dirtiest hotel we've ever stayed in. The dirty footpaths outside were cleaner than the carpets in the hotel. Everything about the hotel was grubby. The air conditioning did not work, and noise from the units above and beside was on going day and night. All in all our worst nights accommodation.

Terrible hotel. The one black spot on a wonderful trip to Canada. It is in line to be demolished, and the sooner the better! It was really hot when we arrived, and having just one fan was no where near enough. We had it on twenty four seven. Cosmos who arranged said holiday, should knock this one on the head... More

I stayed here for a weekend and I had a great time. I'm not sure what other travellers do but when I'm in a gorgeous place like banff I'm out and about. There's no elevator but it's only three stories, so if you don't have a problem climbing a few stairs you will be just fine. But I did find... More

Having just checked in I am tempted to check straight back out. The whole hotel is shabby & in need of a refit, the carpets are threadbare, there is no air con & with both windows open all you get is noise and fumes from the street. Do not waste your money staying here, it is outrageously expensive & there... More

When we arrived with our tour our hearts sank, because the stair carpet looked as if it needed a good clean. The bedrooms were fine but the walls and floors were thin. As a result we had a sleepless night. All we could hear were noises from above for hours. Where was the night watchman? At five in the morning... More

My friends and I stayed here recently for just a night. Dated hotel, NO AIRCONDITION and poor cleanliness. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Needs a lot of work and upgrading. Too pricey for what we got and experience. $200+ should somehow provide us an extra fan in the room.

This hotel should be pulled down. Bathroom on a poor state, sink with rusty plug hole. Entrance cat walk with filthy carpet overlooking smelly dustbins. Room carpets filthy plugs hanging off the wall. Windows filthy. Cosmos should be ashamed of themselves putting some of us here and others over the road at the Banff Park Lodge. The YMCA has better...
