The location of Blue Mountain is great at 2 streets back from main downtown street. Staff are very friendly and helpful. That's where the positives ends for me... IMO this is more a little fancier hostel than a B&B. Here's why: -No "real" breakfast, only self served croissants, cereal from a dispenser and cold hard boiled eggs. To me a... More

Good price for banff. Good service just note limited office hours. Great located but note that there are limited parking spots, the rest is street parking. Good free breakfast. Variety of rooms available, the one I had was very very very small. No AC in most rooms. Access to common areas including kitchen. Overall, good value for banff.

My boyfriend and I stay there each year for me to run the Banff Marathon. It is a quaint old home kept up well. The staff are very personable and always aim to please. The breakfast is good with boiled eggs, toast, cereal, fresh warm croissants, yogurt, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, several juices, milk, coffee, and tea. In the afternoon... More

the staff here couldn't be more helpful giving us many suggestions of things to do and see, booking a restaurant for us and even lending us bear spray! The rooms are very small as is the breakfast area, also very hot at night but for the second night we requested fans which helped a lot. Great position an easy short... More

Simple basic and kinda poky overall. The renovations have been done on the cheap. You get what you pay for. My room was tiny and quite difficult to move around in. Banff is expensive and this is no exception. Very friendly owner and staff. Welcoming and looking to make sure you have a good time and stay. Very knowledgable on... More

Booked off the internet on our way to Banff. On arrival, we were very apprehensive about it being a "B and B" as that is not our preferred accommodation when travelling. Walking in to check in, still feeling a bit apprehensive about being in "someone's house". Checking in was a breeze with everything explained to us clearly by a lovely... More

We needed an extra day in Banff and a place for the night. Blue Mountain was kindly suggested by the information centre based on our needs for a budget B and B as compared to where we had previously stayed. This location is very close to downtown for those that need access. However on weekends, Banff is very busy and... More

At first I thought that I was going to kill myself by looking at the pictures but it is way better then expected. The beds are quite comfortable, most rooms include a LED TV (Around 28") and the washrooms are about average. The breakfast was great (Toast, Cereal, Muffins and more) the cookies were good as well. The cowboy suite... More

Do not stay here. The rooms are small, the walls are paper thin, the towels are THREADBARE, the bathrooms pathetic, the bedding terrible, the wifi non-existent. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom was tiny, old and grimy. We spent our night listening to drunken young guests banging around above us at 230am. A complete rip-off.

We stayed here for almost 2 months in November and December 2014 and felt right at home. The lodge has adorable small town charm with cute quilted duvets and timber paneled ceilings. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile for guests, including making beautiful fresh breakfasts and cookies for afternoon tea. Definitely make... More
