The Blue Mountain Lodge was our last stay on the Icefields Parkway, on the way back to Calgary. It was a nice change from hotels and felt like a European B&B. We stayed in the Cowboy room, with it's own entrance onto the car park. It was nice with kooky decorations. There is a double bed and two bunk beds,... More

I am a Travel Agent and due to the industry I work in I have always taken these reviews on TripAdvisor with a pinch of salt because you never really know how honest or exaggerated people can be but I can honestly say this is the first terrible experience I have had with not just the accommodation but manners of... If this had been labelled a "hostel" the review would have been better - but it is labelled as a B&B, so i have a certain expectation for B&B versus my years of staying at hostels.... well let's see: location - very good. Service by staff - excellent!! no complaints on the staff - all were fabulous. beds, semi comfortable.... More

I am writing this review to give credit where credit is due. We had no plans for our time in Banff - we just wanted to relax in the mountains. Upon arrival, our friendly hostess gave us a quick overview of things to do in Banff and made a couple of suggestions. While we got settled in our room she... More

My friends and I stayed at the lodge in early June and where impressed by the staff that indeed went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. Not only did they lead activities they even made sure we had breakfast to go (if we would not be able to attend the scheduled breakfast times.) Even... More

This was an unexpectedly pleasant experience. I was unsure of what to expect based on the booking but I was surprised by all of the elements which I hadn't event considered. The staff went out of their way on several occasions to make our stay a pleasant experience. Booking events, leading hikes and providing suggestions on attractions. Perhaps the highlight... More

I stayed here for 17 nights during April - had a lovely time! The staff and owner are great - friendly, welcoming and very helpful, the building is wonderfully picturesque and the room was clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. An excellent breakfast is included. While the hotel is on a quiet mainly residential street the buses to... More

This building is over 100 years old and retains it's lovely old character. The proprietor, Pascal was extremely welcoming and helpful. The place is spotlessly clean and the continental breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. The rooms are small and our en suite was tiny... more like a wardrobe but it was so clean that it didn't detract from... More

We stayed here for two nights during snowfall and loved it. We stayed toasty warm even though it was freezing out and were treated to a great spread for breakfast every morning as part of the booking. The hosts are great and have a genuine interest in travellers alike which led to great conversations. Facilities are great with all day... More

We are happy to announce that the Blue Mountain Lodge changed ownership in January, 2007. Since then, we have engaged in extensive renovation work, erased past problems and upgraded breakfast. We are also very excited to report that Select Canada will acknowledge our accomplishments by giving us a three-star rating in 2009. Looking forward to meeting you in Banff!
