The Fairmont Banff Springs has all the beauty in the world to offer from the outside but once you enter it's confusing and lacks the "great room with the great fireplace" to snuggle up and enjoy. Luckly, we were upgraded to a room with an amazing view but we met many people who were far less than satisfied with how... More

This was a business trip for my husband; I rarely go but glad I did this time. The architecture and history of this 'castle' was truely amazing. It was a bit pricy overall but the ammenities were many, and well maintained. I enjoyed the pool outside in the snow, the consierge was most helpful answering every silly questions and they... More

This is truly the gem of the Canadian Rockies. While the majestic beauty of the great north might seem to collide with a large, dominating facility, the exact opposite exists. The Banff Springs is a throwback to the bygone days of the railroad opening up the West. It has been carefully preserved and update to give modern travelers the sense... More

My wife and I booked into a deluxe valley view room, which has a truly amazing view and is well worth it. No rooms were available on the website, so I called and was given a booking right away. We got a room on the 6th floor in the main wing. We were greeted very professionally by name when we... More

We didn't stay here, price and room size were an issue, but had breakfast and a late lunch here. The buffet breakfast is well worth the money though if you are skiing the timing might be a little tight. Fantastic view. We had lunch at their wine bar upstairs. The tuna sandwich was actual strips of tuna, nicely pink, and... More

The Fairmont is a superb hotel tucked majestically a few minutes walk away from the town. It is very well appointed with courteous staff and fine rooms. Can't wait to go back!

If you are in the Banff area of Alberta you have to stay at the Banff Springs Hotel. Its a like a step back in time as this hotel is a peice of Canadian history. All its amenaties are amazing, rooms, lobby, shops, all are incredibly maintained and the level of cleanlyness cant be beat. The staff are there day... More

It's funny, reading previous reviews I wasn't sure what to expect but having now spent 10 days in the hotel I cannot fault any aspect of the hotel, staff or the quality of food. We stayed in the Stanley Thomson wing where the rooms were slightly bigger than standard rooms and due to the design of the hotel it's a... More

Booked 8 rooms SEVEN months in advance and arrived at nine minutes to 4 pm to be told we were to "early" and our room wasn't ready! My boss and his wife waited TWO HOURS for their suite to be made ready! The other boss was assigned a room only to arrive in it and find other guests already registered... More
