My husband and I split our one-week in Banff National Park between Fairmont Lake Louise and Fairmont Banff Springs. It was incredibly disappointing at Banff Springs! Definitely from the outside, it looks amazing and impressive. However, our room - a Deluxe room - was laughable. It was room 848 in the main building. Perhaps other wings are nicer and more... more

Sure , its expensive. But for my wife and I on a trip of a lifetime it was perfect from the time we arrived 'til the time we left. Friendly, helpful staff (with the exception of one waiter (who neglected us aparrently because he'd found himself a big tipper), beautful comfortable room with a stunning view. more

In short, take a look around, but DO NOT stay there. Yup, parking at the Banff Fairmont will run you $25 a day, but if your a guest at the hotel, it's still $25. I have to say, the whole pay for parking issue really got under my skin. We were paying top dollar to stay here so you'd think... more

This was our first and last time staying at the Banff Springs Hotel. We booked a room through the 1-800 reservations, and I conclude that this was our first mistake. We requested a room with a view and a whirlpool. We were quoted $519 + taxes. When we arrived, we were placed in a ground-floor, no view, no whirlpool room.... more

I was looking forward to a romantic getaway with my lady and as such booked a "deluxe" room with a view. The regular rate was $589.00 plus 11% tax so obviously it was not cheap and my expectations were fairly high. Our room was not ready for us when we arrived, despite a request for an early check-in. (Normal check-in... more

I stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs for a week this past month to celebrate our wedding. The structure itself is incredible! If you love historic buildings, mysterious passages and excellent service, this is the place for you! Travelers must be aware that this is a very expensive hotel and location to visit. This hotel is in the Banff National... more

After staying at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise I wasn;t sure what to expect from this resort, but from the moment we arrived the service, location and amenities were top notch. The valet attendant took our keys and escorted us right up to the Gold Floor check-in on the 5th floor. The concierges on the Gold Floor were excellent and... more

The Fairmont Banff Springs like all the “heritage” Fairmont hotels looks lovely on the outside but inside is nothing but old faded glory of a bygone era. While some of the room offer marvelous views, the facilities are old worn and threadbare. There is no air-conditioning, only air-cooling which makes it cold and muggy. (Air-cooling, known as a swamp-cooler in... more

Stayed a couple of nights on the gold floor while attending a two day conference - and thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was adequate, but very nice. Bathroom pretty small - tight squeeze if there are two of you in there at the same time. Great shower though. Hotel is pricey, but would stay again - although not sure if it... more

Just returned from the Banff Springs where we enjoyed a girls spa weekend getaway! From the minute we arrived we were treated like gold! The service was outstanding! And the Spa...what can I say about the Spa except that it was out of this world! The most amazing spa experience I have ever had. Had the best treatment ever -... more
