After years of seeing advertisements for Banff Springs with pictures of this stellar resort profiling the destination, it did not disappoint! This was was our first visit to the property, and everything is on a Grand scale, from the size of the property, to the personailzed and warm services provided by the staff. Right from our initial drive up to... More

The food in the Bow Valley grill was great as usual...my 5 year old son likes goose berries and one of the chef's offered him the entire box to take back to the table...The staff was good and friendly and it's always a treat to walk around the hotel. Surprised that it wasn't busier, we basically had the entire pool... More

...if you are tired of seeing the same looking hotel (cold cement and glass structures); you will appreciate this place. Nothing spectacular when it comes to the rooms; service is what you would expect from this price range.

We stayed at the Fairmont in Lake Louise 2 days before we stayed in Banff Springs. Needless to say, we were very disappointed to have spent $350.00 for a very small room and in a bad location. Unfortunately, we were traveling with another couple who always stays at the Fairmont's and did not want to make a scene. However, when... More

We spent three nights at the Fairmont Banff Springs in a deluxe view king room. The upgrade from the standard room (which I have seen) was well worth it. We enjoyed both the view and the room itself. The room was very spacious, and even though the bathroom was small, the efficient use of space made up for the lack... More

We spent 1 night at the Banff Hotel as part of our Rocky Mountaineer Trip, we had upgraded from Gold to Deluxe on the trip and were given what we would term a suite although at checking in, we were told it was a large room! Large is right, it had a hallway, large lounge, small sitting area, two wardrobes,... More

If we didn't have a great view out of our window, this review would only be 4 stars. We stayed in the Stanley Thomson wing, with great views over the golf course and mountains. Loved the charm of the hotel with it's intricate passageways and an almost medieval, Hoggwarts look. Excellent concierge staff, very helpful. Room is smallish, closet very... More

The hotel Fairmont in Banff is a classic gem of architecture which prides itself on the service and luixury it gives. We went off season to lessen the commotion that an 890 room hotel can cause. It didn't help. There were crowds of people at the hotel, mostly tour buses from Austrialia, England, China to name a few. The town... More
