Well where to start...overall we had a superb stay. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The room we stayed in had excellent views of the mountain and the rooms were fantastic. We would recommend tunnel mountain resort to individuals, couples, and families. It was a truely enjoyable experience. more

This place is located a bit out of banff town, and is a quick 3 minute drive into town. The room itself was nice, the bed was absolutely huge! but so incredibly soft we couldnt get to sleep on it. The bathroom facilities were quite good - it was great to have a good shower after all the rubbish ones... more

We have visited Banff before and found that the rates were very reasonable for the area. Having a kitchen in the chalet that came equipped with a full size fridge, stove, and dishes was a great benefit, especially with having food allergies it was great to prepare our own meals and not have to go to restaurants each day. At... more

Tunnel Mountain Resort does an excellent job of being exactly would you would expect of it (based on it being a moderately priced resort and its description). Nice, comfortably sized rooms Appropriately stocked utensils, etc Reasonable location near town (a little less than 1 mile walk) Relatively quite if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown Banff.... more

Great room and best bathroom for the price - steam shower and jacuzzi bathtub done up beautifully. Comfortable king-size bed and o.k. pillows. An "Executive Suite" is the cheapest. I would stay there again, no problem. Cheapest way to book a room here is on-line ($148.98 Cdn.) What's the catch? It's a 5 minute drive, at the most, outside of... more

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Banff in June. The hotel's location is less than a five minute drive to the town. This makes for an ideal location, away from the touristy feel, yet close enough to everything. Our "executive suite" was a very nice size, modern hotel room, with granite counters, microwave and... more

We stayed in an executive room and agree with most other writers that although the outside appearance of the resort isn't the best, the room itself was huge, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bed was about the biggest I've ever seen, the TV was a good size (the DVD player is NOT region-free however) the bathroom had a jetted... more

The first time We stayed at this resort it was completely spot on! Unfortunately, over the years, the standards have decreased. The Steam room and the space was nice in the Executive Suites but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired....black grout, chocolate sweets on the floor as we entered the room. The toiletries were not renewed either when... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tunnel mountain resort during one of our snowboarding trips. We got a really good deal online (their website). Almost half price of what you would normally pay for the executive room. The room includes: -a gas fireplace-very nice -a king size bed-quite comfortable, seemed very clean -a jacuzzi and steam shower-brand new, in great... more

We just returned from touring Glacier and Banff. We booked four nights at this resort and left after the first night-Why??well, the place was full of ants-even in the refrigerator; the place was not clean and it was run by very young people who were polite but didn't have a clue how to run a hotel. It is not near... more
