Very nice hotel, room was spacious and staff very helpful. Ample parking and plenty of things to do in the area. The hot tubs and saunas are great for the early evening just have to watch out for the mosquitos. We did have to request a slightly larger room as were originally booked in for a twin which although had... More

We were very impressed by the Aspen Lodge. The location is ideal - everything in Banff is in easy walking distance. The room was modern and recently refurbished and the lay out of our room, a queen and two singles separated by the bathroom, was ideal for a family. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It... More

We stayed as a family two weeks ago at Banff Aspen Lodge, during peak season with no vacancies. Despite booking in person and calling the hotel beforehand, I didn't learn until after check-in that there's no air conditioning--plus insufficient mosquito protection in motel-like rooms. The temperature during the day was in the mid-thirties Celsius, so rooms were baking and 27... More

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Banff Aspen Lodge. It has been a unique summer in Banff; high temperatures and above average rain fall has made Banff quite populated with mosquitoes. Our Housekeeping Department has been working diligently to eliminate them, but it can be difficult getting them all. If at any time during your stay you are... More

We had a large room, 27 foot in length at side of hotel, very well decorated, the room as a Premier room. We were there on a Sunday and with no air con, we had windows open to get air and at about 1.30am we were woken by young men who had been drinking and were talking about the compounds... More

My husband and I have just stayed at the Banff Aspen Lodge for 3 nights. Feeling very tired after a long journey the check in was efficient and the staff very friendly. The rooms are a good size with a nice seating area and a balcony. Although there is no air conditioning we did know this when we booked, but... More

We were in Banff when it was 31 degrees C and it was difficult to cool the room at night. Thankfully we had a rear room so could leave the window open at night - not sure how you would get on with a front room facing the main road. Location seems to be used by tour buses, so breakfast... More

Thank you for your review! I’m happy to read that you enjoyed your Banff Aspen Lodge experience. The weather in the mountains can be warm through the day but because of the elevation of Banff, the temperatures generally cool down in the evenings. The average high temperatures in July and August are approximately 22 degrees C /71 degrees F with... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night and enjoyed the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and appealing. The room had a balcony, fridge, nice sitting area and a comfy bed. The hot tub area was a nice feature as well as the take a book, leave a book library. I liked that the breakfast room had a restaurant... More

Ok place to stay in Banff. For the money this accommodation would be very sub-standard if in a major city, but this is Banff and accommodation is basic and very expensive for what you get. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. The main issue was that it was extremely warm in the room at night (not usually... More

Stayed in the Banff Aspen Lodge for a week June/July so were in town for the Canada Day celebrations. If you're after a street front room with a balcony to watch the street then go for room 240! Excellent facilities including hot tub and jacuzzi. Courteous and efficient staff made this a great base for exploring Banff and surrounds.

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to down town and bow river. We upgraded to a premium room and it was worth it. I'm not sure what a regular room would be like. But we had our own balcony (2nd floor) and faced down town, south I believe. The mountain view was not especially great. We booked... More
