We only spent 2 nights here, but wished it was more. Our room had a great view, as did the room for the other couple who traveled with us. The view from the lobby and every other place we went to in the hotel was also fabulous. The staff was extremely helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the complimentary bus... More

This is a very nice Banff hotel with spacious rooms and wonderful views. The only drawback is that it is somewhat distant from the downtown area. If you don't have a car, you need to take a city bus to get back and forth to town.

This hotel is a bit out of town but they provide a good bus at easy and convenient times ( no waiting) into the town. Rooms and beds are very comfortable but I would have liked a balcony to enjoy the magnificent location better. Some rooms do have balconies but not many and the receptionist informed me that the rate... More

Great Hotel, very friendly and helpful staff; superb views; free bus into Banff but we found the hotel and facilities so good we stayed and relaxed more than planned. Three tier restaurants - we passed on the most expensive, the second one was very good but we mostly ate the bar meals which were excellent. Do try the Diva's bar... More

We stayed here for four nights and it was the venue for an event I helped organise. We had an excellent room with a view of the cascades and the bed a king size was extremely comfortable. The event over two days went off without any problems, the delegates enjoyed the food, wine and location with a few staying on... More

The Rimrock is located up near the Hot Springs, away from the hordes and hordes of tourists in Banff in July/August.The hotel was maybe last re-done in the 1980's. The decor is tired but a window into one of the Calgary area boom times. What makes this hotel worth the $ is its location and that it is smaller than... More

I'm not sure exactly why I don't have a great feeling about this hotel. It may be that (as with many of the higher-end hotels) you have to pay for parking and the parking provided is a garage that is difficult for small cars to navigate, much less larger cars. Also, when we checked in, I asked if there were... More

The hotel is a couple of miles out of town but it is perched on the side of a large hill / small mountain offering spectacular views of the lofty peaks of Mount Rundle. You enter the reception area from the main road on the 5th floor, again it accentuates the impressive vista and makes it one of the more... More

We spent 7 nights celebrating our 40th anniversary. The view from our room was spectacular. The staff was helpful and courteous. The location was convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We did something different each day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Primrose Restaurant had an excellent menu and the food was delicious. We strongly recommend this hotel and its... More

After an awful first night at the Fairmont (trying to celebrate my husband's 60th), we checked out and went to the Rimrock Resort Hotel. I was so sad, after the huge disappointment at the Fairmont, and the city was packed with tourists, I didn't hold out much hope for a room. But, as luck would have it, Matthew at the... More
