I stayed for 6 nights on my own and was really pleased with the hotel. Sure, it is a bit dated, but my room was spacious, clean and well configured. I also had a large verandah with 180 degree mountain views. My room had a mini-fridge + microwave, a huge comfortable bed. I had a room on the top floor... More

This is an old place that needs an overhaul. There is no AC in most if not all rooms, and the rooms although clean are 60's . Pool area and rooftop hot tub area are in need of work. This is a good basic hotel but your better off to spend a little more money and get something newer in... More

Tired. Worn. College dorm gone bad. No AC, bad on an average day, torture on a hot summers night. Can't fault the staff - they have little to work with. The computer in the business center was one step beyond a Commodore 64 - and torturously slow. Having said that, hard to expect more on a busy night in Banff... More

I agree with many of the reviews I have read. This is an older facility in need of upgrading. One time we got on the elevator just when a tour group had arrived. The elevator was full and there were several people waiting on the bottom floor to use it. The elevator was very slow and did not operate properly,... More

The place is huge. The common areas are somewhat dated but still OK. The indoor pool was fine, others enjoyed it too, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have time to check out the rooftop hot tub or the bus into town, using complimentary passes. We started out with a reserved 2 double-bed room in the Swiss... More

This is definitely only a 2.5 star hotel, the rooms are older, bathrooms are small and dingy (blow dryer didn't even work) and no air conditioning in the rooms. However the room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff were nice. I did my research prior to booking this so I knew what we were going to get so... More

Stayed at the hotel between July 3rd & 5th 2014. Upon checkin, we discovered the room did not have air conditioning even though the temperature outside soared to +31celcius that day. A small desk fan was available and also the door to the "balcony" could be opened. The cement floor balcony was warped and sloped so bad that we didnt... More

We appreciate your feedback about your recent stay. You are correct that our maintenance attendant was not able to find anything wrong with the unit. Additionally, I sent the Maintenance Manager to the room to inspect the unit. After running the A/C for 4 hours he also could not detect any leaks or issues. More

This hotel is old and needs work. the pool is disgusting didn't even want to go in. We stayed here in July and it was hot, the hotel doesn't have AC and when we asked for another fan they said they didn't have any. Will never stay here again very displeased!!!

We happen to spot a discount on this hotel on Expedia hence selected, as we were really in a rush to book a room for a night in Banff. It seemed to be quite far from the center, so it would always make us drive if we wanted to go out for a meal or walk. We arrived around 11... More

The photos do thus place justice. The staff a friendly and helpful but the hotel is in poor shape. We stayed in the Swiss lodge which was dark, dirty and poor. Check in was 16:00 which was unusually late. Hot tubs, forget them, dirty and poor. The walk into Banff was 25mins, taxi was $10 each way. Overall it was... More
