this place was not what AAA described. It was hardly a 3 star place. it was dirty and old and the pool was like one at the Y. The chairs were of the plastic variety and the "balcony" in our room was concrete with two plastic chairs. The air conditioner was extremely loud and you have to climb on the... more

We reserved 'High Country Inn' based on the good reviews from this site, but it turned out to be a nightmare. Our number 1 complaint is their unprofessional service. On the second night when we were tired from the long round-trip drive from Banff to Jasper, we found lots of (big) ants from our room at 1 am. We talked... more

I’d like to thank WaTraveler99 for their review of our hotel and providing their honest feedback regarding their experience at the High Country Inn. This was certainly an unfortunate and unusual circumstance for the High Country Inn and obviously not what we would expect our guests to feel after their stay with us. We have addressed this issue with our...

Stayed here for a guys end-of-season snowboard weekend. Worked out at $66 per person for Fri-Sun for 4 of us, excellent deal. We shared one double room and it was a more than big enough for all our gear. Balcony could sit 2 and mountain facing. Rooms cleaned and beds made. Breakfast included in the room price but nothing to... more

What a great little hotel! It is close to all amenities in Banff (only a few blocks from downtown) and is very quiet, considering it is on Banff Avenue. The rooms were very clean and spacious (the largest 1 queen room I have seen in a while) and had complimentary products from Bath and Body Works! (shampoo, soap, etc) I... more

Large clean rooms. Great selection for breakfast. Friendly staff. Well maintained building. The hot tubs were not functioning properly during our stay. Banff has the natural hot springs which met that need. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Great value. more

Stayed here over the Canadian Family Day holiday weekend. The room was a good size, well equipped, clean and comfortable. This is not a luxury hotel but is comfortable, extremely good value for money, and very conveniently located for the centre of Banff. more

If you're looking for an average hotel with a reasonable price point this is a good place to start. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. Though I've become a princess in my advancing years, the beds were quite comfortable.....and that is a true compliment! Our room had a couple of comfortable chairs, a small balcony, and a bar-sized... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the High County Inn, we had a double queen size room between 4 girls in their 20's. The room was a really good size and had all the amenities we needed. The room wasn't always cleaned that well, which would be my only complaint, although we were quiet messy so it would have been... more
