We have stayed here several times....Including for our wedding.We always enjoy our stay. They have a small water park with 2 water slides.... kiddie pool....and steam room....plus a more private pool area with a hot tub and sauna exclusively for hotel guests which is usually empty. We stayed At the Douglas Fir Resort from 3/31/2008 thru 4/5/2008 . The service is at best average , housekeeping only performed once in our stay. Front desk DID NOT transfer phone messages , to room. We have stayed twice here. If you have kids you may wish to tolerate the following to have access to a waterslide and play center. There are a number of problems with the hotel. We recently stayed at the Douglas Fir Resort for a ski holiday. This is our third year staying with Douglas Fir., visiting twice per year during the winter. 3 of us stay at this hotel during Christmas, I will visit again for sure. It is great for family who has kids, as they got the pool, water slide, steam room, plus the one bedroom suit was perfect for us, so kids have separate area to sleep. But the hotel is a bit old, deco is old and dark... more
