This was our 3rd Christmas spent at Douglas Fir and this time we had our whole family come join us. The facilities were great, the atmosphere incredible, new water slides, friendly staff...everything that we wanted for a great family holiday together. The kitchen is a little small but we made up most of our food ahead of time to make... More

My family of seven - adult and children - spent Xmas at Douglas Fir (we are still here!) A long time visitor to Banff, I have never stayed at this resort before but we booked it for the kids because of the waterpark and play areas. Both good choices - the playzone is great and the water facilities super, clean,... More

Is it what it says on the tin! I have stayed in more luxurious places but this was everything we needed. 2 minutes on a free bus to Town, waterslides for kids and hottub for mum and dad, and play center for the kids. We will definately stay again :) Deals to be had on the book early and save... More

Our family always stay here when in Banff. Would not consider any other place. We have access to watersides, an indoor playgym, kitchenette, fireplace and lots of space. Never have any problems with the staff. We will return! More

This was the perfect place to take our children for a memorable family holiday. The play area is fantastic. The waterslides and pools are excellent. The resort is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. My husband and I have stayed at other hotels in Banff without the kids for double the price that were not as... More

Just spent 2 weeks at the Douglas Fir Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time here despite the water slides being out of action. The room was very spacious and well equipped. Being a little way out of town the free bus service was a great bonus for both connecting with the ski bus, general trips out and shopping. The front... More

Just got back from our weekend away yesterday and wish we could have stayed longer! This is our second time staying in the 3 bedroom family suite with two other couples, and it was just perfect. A room with two beds for each couple with a bathroom for each room, plus the main bathroom and flat screen tv's in all... More

Recently stayed here for a night and chose the Douglas Fir Resort because they offered good value and took pets (a small dog). While the resort isn't brand new, there is nothing to complain about. Our chalet was immense and we got super value for our money. It was clean, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Parking for the chalets are... More

We stayed at the Douglas Fir in the off season so were able to enjoy the facilities with no crowds. For a family with small children it was a perfect choice. The indoor play structure is great: safe, clean and fun for the kids. The water slides and pool were good too and I understand they are being remodeled now.... More

We have stayed before and have always enjoyed it. Loved the do it yourself breakfast, it was excellent. Any requests were met asap. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. It is just an all around wonderful atmosphere. Thanks More
