We spent a week at the Bow View and loved it. The location is great with beautiful views of the Bow View River and moutains. There is a great walking path behind the lodge around the river and only minutes from shops and restaurants. We walked all over the town. The rooms are somewhat cozy but comfortable. The staff are... Wonderful river view room and use of the spa facilities in the hotel next door which was fantastic! Room was very clean and spacious and staff very friendly. Great rate for October at 85CAD + tax, plus the hotel was a 5 minute walk to the centre of town if that! Will definately return here as overall value for money... More

We stayed 1 night on our way further north picking Bow View for the price more than anything. The rooms are adequate, nothing fancy. The location is really convenient: restaurants and the commercial heart of Banff is just a couple blocks away, but you are tucked away by the river and don't have the noise and traffic found elsewhere. I... More

This hotel is right next to the Bow River, with amazing views of the river and Mountains. On arrival first impressions are not so good as the lobby area carpet is quite grubby and so is the lift, but when you get inside your room, although a little dated, it is very comfortable. We had one with two beds, fridge... More

This motel has very clean comfy rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view from their riverview room is well worth the extra money. From your veranda you are looking at the beautiful Bow River. Located a very short walk from downtown and free parking. There is a pool at Banff lodge across the parking lot (sister hotel)... More

This is the only hotel, apart from the very luxurious Banff Springs Hotel, which is by the river. It is well worth paying for a river view room with a balcony if you plan to be there for more than one day. Its proximity to restaurants and shops is very handy, yet you are away from the the crowds of... More

We booked here based on TA reviews, and it was exactly like we expected it to be. BVL is an old building, but it is well maintained and very clean. We were upgraded to a suite, which had 3 beds in 2 rooms. The bed in the main room was very comfortable, but the 2 beds in the back bedroom... More

Quiet, friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, comfortable room with great river view, easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. This hotel was a great place to finish a week in the area. Amenities include TV, coffee maker, fridge, hair dryer. Its partnership with neighboring Banff Park Lodge adds swimming pool, jacuzzi, laundry facility and restaurant to the list. The... More

Booked this online in the UK for myself and my 13yr old son. Arriving a day early the Lodge Manager allweed us an extra night at this Hotel and even gave us a cheaper rate than we booked online. A small hotel but the staff are wonderful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I had a GPS which I'd hired... More
