This was a great motel within walking distance to shopping and dining. Roomed overlooked the river and even had a caribou standing at the rivers edge. Also has a walking trail along the river! Would definitely come back.

You cannot put a price on the River view from this hotel - it's just perfect. Basic but ultra clean room with veranda. Views & location are perfect & if you need more amenities they're right next door in the sister hotel Banff Park Lodge. I would highly recommend staying here. Professional, polite & helpful staff in both hotels. We... More

I recently spent a week here. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the river. It was an easy 5min walk to all downtown had to offer. The staff(especially Teegan) were wonderful.I would definitely stay here again.PS Don't miss the Sun.buffet at the Banff Park Lodge.

I spent two days in Banff, and the Bow View is on the edge of town. The downtown is tiny, so the hotel is within walking distance of the main shopping and dining areas. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was neat and clean. It isn't the type of place you would want to spend a lot... More

We stayed here 2 nights in early May, 2015. This is a good time to visit Banff as it is their low season, so there are lots of vacancies and you can get a good deal, which we did. We got a 3rd floor room with a balcony and a view of a riverfront park and pathway and the Bow... More

Whether or not a building is old or the rooms outdated – which even management acknowledges – a comfortable bed is important. Unfortunately, they were very, very firm, reminding me of dorm room mattresses. The comforters were thin and slipped to the sides throughout the night. The red carpet extends into the bathroom area, covering the floor underneath the sink,... More

I have travelled to Banff and area for YEARS on business... this is a hidden gem found. It is a sister hotel to the Banff Park Lodge so if you want a hot tub or whatever - you can use theirs (next door). the rooms are, as stated, a bit dated but they are large and I often spent part... More

For a Calgary person, staying in Banff is just a convenience. With Banff just a hour away by car and a couple by bus, we just chose to stay in Banff for the experience. Bow view lodge is just a average hotel which suits the pocket. I have nothing more to add. No free breakfast and average rooms. Beds were... More

Return visit, we like this little unpretentious spot in downtown Banff with it's quiet riverside location. Outdated decor yes, but very clean and everything in good repair. We like the big windows and balconies. We also like the free and easy access to the beautiful pool and hot tub of its sister hotel next door, the Banff Park Lodge. Friendly... More

Hello BenLar137 Thank you for staying with. I am pleased to hear that you are a returning guest as well. Thank you for your kind words regarding our hotel. We are older than most hotels in the area. But we make sure the building and our guests are well taken care of. Being able to use the pool at the... More

We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay here while seeking to visit the Banff area again. We hoped for a quiet room which was close to "nature" while not being too costly. We found what we were looking for at the Bow View. It is very close to the scenic walking/biking path and park along the Bow River, and an... More
