I found a good deal thru travelocity for this hotel. It was nice and clean, but it was a bit noisy since my room was facing the lobby. Nicely located. It takes only a few minutes to get to the shopping district. Only problem I had during my stay was the Elevator. I was stuck in the elevator more than... More

I got on priceline for decent price about $130 total, but loud and dirty dated room. I was very uncomfortable - everything in room old and stuffy. Next time, I would splurge for the Fairmont in Banff or Lake Louise.

The hotel itself is "OK" - central and conveneint to Banff Avenue. The rooms are dated and really need renovated - the bath was chipped in several places, the vent cover missing in the bathroom, carpet was coming up in the bedroom by the TV (and we were staying in a Superior room!!!). However, the attitude of the staff (front... More

Nice hotel, well situated on Banff main street. Everything you need and clean but no wow factors.

The reason I consider this hotel terrible is because that: 1. Two queen-size beds vs. One queen-size bed I booked a room with 2 queen beds. When I arrive at the hotel, I was assigned to a room with one Queen bed. We came down stairs with all our luggages and requested changing to a room with 2 queen beds.... More

The room was clean, but slightly outdated. It is one of those places that spent their last 10 years of reno budget upgrading the facade of the Inn so you think it is a luxury hotel. Once inside you will quickly find out the rest is not. I am a fantastic sleeper, nothing keeps me awake. I was awake all... More

My boyfriend planned a romantic early birthday weekend for me in Banff and he selected the Ptarmigan for its location and amenities. He got one of the rooms that overlooked the main street, had a fireplace and whirlpool tub. The room was very nice and the bed very comfy. The fireplace was electric and had a timer which was nice.... More

We stayed here for a few nights in January whilst going out to Sunshine and Lake Louise. The price suited us and we were happy with what we got for the money, especially as it was really only somewhere to lay our heads at the end of the day. We had a room facing the inside courtyard which was not... More

We stayed in here whilst travelling from Calgary to Vancouver and really enjoyed the homely feel of the hotel and the town. The hotel was clean and felt like we were in the mountains - definitely worth a visit!

Close to town easy walking to all the shops and restaurants. I was not impressed with this hotel. The rooms had terrible lighting, especially in the bathroom. Big room, but the furnishings were minumal. No where to place your luggage - except the floor. Tiny table in the room - no place to do any work. The ceilings were low... More
