Great Location in a beautiful town but not great hotel for the price you pay. Had small room with 2 queen beds. No A/C so had to leave windows ( no screens ) and drapes open all night. Fortunately no bats or other creatures flew in but privacy was gone due to other hotel right next door. In addition you... More

We booked through Hotwire, so the price was right. Not sure I'd pay the regular rate, though. It's a nice place in a great location. Very comfortable room (except for no A/C, but the fan and open window in August do the trick). Nothing fancy, more like a nice motel. But in Banff, the last thing you want to do... More

I stayed here on a recent long weekend holiday. The location was great, an easy walk to all the restaurants and shops in the city. The hotel itself was just OK. We had a first floor room with a "mountain view", which meant the parking lot. But it seemed better than the interior rooms that looked out on the lobby... More

Appreciated the convenience of this hotel in middle of Banff. Room was functional and clean. Really appreciated the free breakfast - delicious fresh omelettes and good choice. Next door to Brewsters Transport Booking Office for booking Rockies trips.

This hotel looks nice on the outside. The rooms need updated, but the stay was wonderful. The room was clean with decent linens. There was not AC but they provided a fan and we asked for another...it did the trick. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast the next morning was included and it was very good as... The hotel is a nice place in the center of the down town street. It serves very good food, and the rooms though small are cozy and comfortable. The attached bath has jakuzi tub and a quick shower cubicle. Banff has population of around 10,000 and attracts over 300,000 visitors every season. The attractions of Banff is a Gondola ride... More

We got this hotel as the mystery hotwire.com hotel and were pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation and very happy with the great location. With prices in Banff extremely high this was still around the 200 dollar per night mark but more reasonable than the overpriced hotels around it. We decided to stay an extra night and then got... The front desk staff of the hotel were unfriendly and as I checked in I watched them really talking down to the some Japanese tourist who had a significant problem with his room. The rooms were old, as in no update since the 60's old. They were dirty and falling apart. What a disappointment.

The hotel room was OK, luckily it was raining and had cooled down since the 25-30 degree day before as there was no a/c in the room. The food in the Restaurant was good, the kitchen in full view while you wait for your food. No fridge in the room to store things such as Diabetic Insulin. While waiting for... More

We have stayed here 4 times now over the past 6 years. Although we have seen some changes and always had a very good experience I will review based on our recent stay in June 2014. The location is great as it is easy to drive to being on the main road through banff and only a short walk from... More
