Room size is ok, location is v. good, guest services is v. good, underground parking, I see from other reviews that breakfast is basic, well it included: Omelette ( chef cooks it for you), scrambeled egg, pan cakes, fruit salad, cereal, yougurt, croisson, danish, and more. I don't think that is basic breakfast. I stayed the following night in a... More

Stayed here for just 1 night on our Canadian Rockies Tour. Room was a fair size but bathroom was tiny. Bed very comfortable but room very hot. Free Wifi. Breakfast was a bit basic but adequate. Great downtown location, just a short stroll to shops/restaurants and bars and Safeway just around the corner. More

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in early May and, as bang for the buck goes, the Banff Ptarmigan Inn certainly has it in spades. Competitive rates, fantastic staff, great location (steps from "downtown"), clean, comfortable accomodations and the added bonuses of free parking and Wi-Fi! Be sure to check out The Meatball - the pizza is fantastic! More

Stayed at this hotel in late March for one night as a stop over on our way to Calgary. Check in process was quick and easy, staff was friendly, and access to free under ground parking (limited to the height of your vehicle) and wifi was nice. Price was pretty good compared to the other rates in town for a... More

Just back from a week in a standard room. Price competitive, room a trifle on the small side for two adults and two expanding kids, but staff very helpful and the breakfasts are "arssum" - the temptation to pig out is too great before a coach journey and a day on the slopes. Unfortunately some money went missing from our... More

Stayed in Banff Ptarmigan Inn in April 2012. Nicely appointed and clean standard (2 Queens) rooms. Friendly, very nice staff. Free underground parking and wi-fi. Better breakfast with cook cooking omelettes to order, and excellent "upscale" sausages. Didn't visit spa or gym so can't tell. No fridge in our room - but we were able to use the fridge at... More

We were here recently, We had up graded to a Superior room, besides location (corner unit, out of the way) The room was just as small or even smaller then the standard rooms, a few people that were with us who had standard rooms. The room was basic and bed had a weird lean to it resulting in sore necks... More

Welcome home and thank you for writing your review. The only difference between a superior and standard room at our hotel is that a superior room has a window or balcony that opens up to the outside of the hotel, with fresh air, whereas the standard rooms all face into the interior lobby or atrium of the hotel. We do... More

not a bad place. was 150$ for one night, but its right on Banff ave, at the south (south..?) end. Our room was comfortable, beds were great. minimal amenities. no mini fridge, or ice bucket...we had to use one of our beer boxes to get ice and fill the sink...which by the way...is not in the bathroom, its a very... Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry to hear that we somehow missed replacing the ice bucket in your room; I have followed up with housekeeping on that matter, as all of our rooms should have an ice bucket available. In regards to the sink being outside of the bathroom, we have... More

This hotel is close enough to be able to walk anyhwere in downtown Banff. The room was clean and a reasonable size with a comfortable bed. My room had a balcony facing outside (some rooms face onto interior enclosed courtyard). The hot breakfast that was included with the room was good with omlettes cooked to order. I was disappointed that... More

Welcome home and thank you for the review. The only rooms in our hotel that offer in room fridges are our Premium suites, however we are happy to store any essentials that guests may have in our fridge located at the Front Desk, which is manned 24 hours a day. Once again thank you and we hope to see you... More
