I am glad I did not read Trip Advisor on this one or I might have been scared away. I was staying at Bumpers for $85/night, was was an ok place. I saw a sign in front of Branff Avenue Inn showing a $59 night special. This was cheaper than the YWCA Hostel we usually stay at. It turned out... more

I booked at the Banff Avenue Inn to take advantage of their 'Breakaway' package - billed as a relaxing getaway for Mom and Dad. The $139/night price tag included breakfast, admission to the Hot Springs and a 30 min massage. All staying in the Queen suite with a fireplace and jacuzzi. Sounds great, right? My first issue was our room... more

We stayed here on a snowboard trip recently and were happy with this hotel. We stayed in a family suite which has two bedrooms/fireplace/jacuzzi tub for a great price. The only downsides for some would be small dinning room and no elevator. We went out for meals and don't mind the excersize so this didn't bother us. This is not... more

This is a great hotel for a skiing vacation but not for a weekend away retreat. Upon on arrival the staff were quite friendly but it ended there. We stayed for three nights and our room was only cleaned once. They claim to have wireless internet but the truth is that there was no signal (not even a weak one)... more

Booked this place through Crystal for 15 people have written a complaint to them as the brochure is very misleading.Spent 10 nights there and we have been skiing together all over Europe for 10 years and this was our first trip to Canada,Hotel is by far the worst we have stayed in. Good points:Rooms were the largest for a family... more

Nearly changed my booking after reading the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when we were ushered into a large room with a super king bed, a jacuzzi bath with a spacious toilet and shower off it. We had a very comfortable stay here, the beds are wonderful. The staff couldn't have been nicer. It could have done with a wee... more

We stayed at Banff Avenue Inn in February 2008. During the winter season the hotel is taken over and run by Crystal Ski and what a great job they make of it. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are massive and the Jacuzzi is great after a days skiing. Breakfast is a buffet of cold meat, pastries and breads... more

We were a family of five, including two children, 10 months and 7 years old. This is not a hotel for children, no lounge to relax in, and the dining room too small. Meals in two sittings. There is no menu for children, and definately not for babies. The menu is varied. No famous Canadian breakfast and the sausage sandwich... more

We were a family of 5 staying at the Banff Avenue Inn over New Year. Our experience was mixed. We found the rooms spacious and they had everything we needed - chairs, table, TV etc. and the beds were very comfortable (although we agree with others it could do much better on the cleanliness side!), the food was of a... more
