This was my first time camping in the National Park and I don't think we could have found a more amazing location. The water was great, the views were amazing, neighbors were quiet and there is so much to do, we took day trips into Banff to check out different sights, watched the Canada Day parade but the best part... We stayed 3 nites here in late August, 2015. This is a very quiet, pristine lake with good campgrounds. The firewood (though sometimes a little damp) is in culled in the fee, as are the showers. We were there during the big fire season and everything was hidden by the smoke, so we are going to return, as the mountain... More

Make reservations online for this campground, that way you can select your campsite. The lake is beautiful and the campground is in such a peaceful setting. We had two nights, lakeside. The restrooms were clean and the grounds well maintained. Highly recommended.

This was the nicest campsite we stayed at in the Rockies. We were lucky to get a pitch next to the lake which was a beautiful view to wake up to. The campsite was well maintained and where we were unlucky with the weather were grateful of the sheltered huts with large fire. The sites are well spaced and private... More

The walk-in campsites are right by the lake. The very clean shower/bathroom is close by as well. The shower stalls are large. You keep pushing the shower button to keep the water going. The sinks have hot water. You can walk around the trail by the lake.

Granted, it's off-season. But the campground was very quiet, and my spot was right by the lake with a filtered view of it through trees. The restrooms were decent, and the area seemed to be well-maintained. You weren't far to Banff and the main road, but you were a little ways away as well, so you had the quiet and... More

We tent camped in early August with our 1st night at Site #32 (Walk In) then the next 2 nights on Site #49. Site #32 our family found to be the one of the best sites we've ever camped on. You do have to park at the top lot and walk your gear about a 100 yards down a path... More

very nice campsite, short trail to the lake. All the campsites are close to the road and close together with a lot of room toward the lake. But it did make it noisy in the evening, being so close to others.

There are several campgrounds in and near Banff, including another with the "Two Jack" name...but this one, "Lakeside" is the best. It is only about 70 sites (others are 350+). The setting is both forest and lake (short walk to lake shore). It is well managed (as are most Canadian National Parks). The shower was good enough (when it was... More

Beautiful spot especially if you get site with a view of the lake. Firewood is provided as you pay for a permit with your booking but it's well worth it. The bathrooms are starting to show their age but apart from that it's great. The otentiks are great.
