Stayed there for one night in village 2G. Felt like the campground was between a highway and a train track... with a train going by every 45 minutes. I also strongly disagree with how Park Canada rated their site privacy. We had an "intimate" site witch had litterally only 2 o 3 small trees between the neighboring site. On the... More

If your looking for a stop over with nearly all of the amenities this is perfect. World class views, great night sky. If Banff townsite is your huckleberry perfect. If your looking for a little old school camping then not really. This is a parking lot for RV's. That's the situation. Possibly the best parking lot in the world, Earth... More

Amazing site, we booked our pitch in advance definitely a good thing to do, much easier to check in and you can choose your own pitch. Well spaced pitches, whilst we were there Elk browsed around the rv's and a bear was spotted one tea time.. Not aggressive no problems ( everyone respects distance and clean sites). Mountain views all... More

We stayed here in early May in a rental RV so it was very quiet, easy to use and had all the facilities we needed. Showers were warm but flip flops definitely recommended! Liked the bus to and from town because the walk up the hill after a busy day is not much fun. No wifi but popped over to... More

We popped in for some easy car camping with the little one and our dogs. We had a large tent and were at site D4. First off, the tent sites here are walk-in, so be prepared to lug everything from your car to site. This wouldn't be enough to mark this one as a bad site, since it allows you... More

This might be good for large trailers and diesel pushers but it's basically a paved driveway with campfire pits on either side. The power is on the wrong end of the sites and there's no privacy. If you actually want to camp, Kananaskis offers much better alternatives.

The fires kept our trip here from being spectacular, because there was a thick haze of smoke shrouding the mountains. It was beautiful anyway and we enjoyed the walk in camping area because the site d1 was right at the front by parking and rest rooms. We don't like smoke, so the automatic fee for firewood was a bit much,... More

Being from the UK and our first time camping in BC this was a really easy campground to find, we easily located our site (pitch) and were soon on the wine! There is a cheap bus service into town and we bought a day pass ($5 each) which we made good use of . Nice and peaceful at night. Would... More

Great location to enjoy mountain views or to get to town or the multitude of tourist spots in the area. Used to KOA RV parks in the states so miss not having wifi. However as a govt park it is nicer than Grand Tetons or those in Glacier Montana. Online booking was easy and ability to pick actual site was... More

We booked our site on line ahead of time and were not disappointed. You are able to view pictures of the sites and can choose your own that way. We picked one on the end that would have room for our kids to play in a treed area. We stayed for 3 nights and the restrooms and showers were always... More
