Not too far from the city with a good shuttle to the city if you need, there good showers are the site usually clean with good hot water, we didn't have water source to the RV so not sure if this is because they do not have or because we did not book on time. There is a good and... More

RV'S are parked parallel like a street with large lawn, fire pit and table. In some ways it forces you to get to know your neighbors. Beautiful views, excellent facilities and wonderful bus service into town

I believe Parks Canada should be embarrassed of this wilderness campground. If you compare Banff's campgrounds to Jasper campground, there is no comparison. Don't get me wrong, there are some good points to this campground, the showers are nice, the bus into town is GREAT! However, the parking at the campsite on pavement and only having a 20' X 10'... Tunnel Mountain II is different. Most, if not all, of the sites are pull thru along each side of many parallel roads thru the woods. Its more what I call "neighborhood" sites. Very easy into and out of the sites All roads are asphalt and the large campground has bus service from the check in station down the hill to... More

Banff is tourist - and the camping options are also expensive and may be hard to come by at the last minute. I had booked two adjoining tent sites on the web weeks in advance. It turns out our smaller group was only going to need one. Although they "don't refund" the ranger at the gate did refund most of... More

I know RV expert but our first port of call in the Rockies was here. The views are breathtaking, it is busy but everyone has space. The facilities are excellent and the bus takes you into town. Free wood for the fire pits if you have a permit and shops walking distance for beer wine and even marmite! we loved... More

Nice enough with electrical hookups and a fire pit. But a bit crowded for my liking. Next time we'll stay at Village 1 and bring a small generator.Units all parked in a line on pavement head to tail. Too bad some people don't really know how to park their RV.

RV Park which resembles no more than a parking lot in the forest, feels like sleeping on the side of the road. There are hot showers included in the price but no wifi available. Online reservation will come with a surcharge of $ 11.00 on the top of the regular camping fee. Paid $ 43.00 for a night for a... More

We decided to stay at this campground since Tunnel Mountain Village I was already booked up. It provided all amenities and it was extremely clean and well cared for. There is a nice walk to the river/stream and in a wooded setting. The campsites are a little on the small side and we had to make a few attempts to... More

After a long drive we pulled into the Banff information centre to see what campsites had spaces. We were told our only hope was the Tunnels II campsite which was explained to us as an overflow site with no facilities. We set of to the site felling a little disappointed and not expecting more than space in a carpark. Well... More
