Ken keeps this place perfect. Had an amazing sauna after an epic day climbing. Plenty of room to dry our gear and great facilities to keep us warm and happy. Out of the way so you don't get all the crowds this small local place in the middle of the Parkway is exceptional. Thanks a bunch Ken!

Only stayed for one night but it was really nice. Comfy beds and clean cabins. Well stocked kitchen. It was like a big family dinner. Everyone swapping stories and giving recommendations for hikes etc. Manager is really nice.

As a family we stayed here for 1 night as we travelled through the Icefield Parkway. It's a special place. As you might expect the facilities are basic- but the setting is perfect. As a family of 4 we had one room which was fine for us. There are no showers but we used the sauna- you jump in to... More

I have been to HI hostels in many countries, and Rampart Creek is one of the best. It's in a perfect location for ice climbing. In summer it would be ideal for cycling, hiking, mountaineering and other outdoor activities. It's a long way from any cities, so the skies are dark and the stars are spectacular. The bedrooms are small,... More

No shower. Dorms only, nice ones though (up to 6 people). Everything else was there. Kitchen was neat and warm. Same comment for the lounge. The warden turned the sauna on the night we werer there. Behind the hostel, there is a nice litle walk with great views on the valley.

I was a little hesitant staying here...I like my showers! But the hostel is fantastic! I stayed here as part of a Moose Network tour and it was definitely one of the best hostel's I stayed in. It is very clean and obviously well taken care of and the owner is obviously very proud of it. Kitchen is spacious and... More

Another wilderness hostel in the middle of nowhere. This place is amazing. The don't have shower, but there is a sauna close to the river. You can get water from the river, heat it, have a "shower" and sauna at the same time. Kitchen and rooms are clean and organized. Good place to stay when alone or with friends. Since... More

Really friendly folks and perfect wilderness feel with some nice comforts. *GORGEOUS Location! * SAUNA! * Glacier fed stream * Volleyball (I saw the court but didn't use) * Communal Campfire * Communal Kitchen * The most immaculate outhouse I have ever seen! It was brand new, had solar panels to light the area and hand sanitizer. The setup certainly... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and did some day ski-touring from the hostel. The location is excellent, in the middle of the mountains with a heap of options of places to go. The hostel has a big kitchen and common room. The bunk rooms are not overly large, but there weren't a lot of guests and the manager spread... More

This hostel is inviting. Has a nice creek running along side it. Nice common area. Bunk beds are ok but if you are over six feet tall you will feel cramped. They have a sauna hut which I didn't try but heard good things about. Otherwise it is part of the HI group and stays are affordable and rustic. I... More
