We stayed at the premium room with our 2 daughters and the room was large eough and comfortable. The toilet is large with a claw foot bath. The restaurant was good and the price was comparable to good restaurants in Banff town. We like the outdoor hot tub after our hikes. There are good trails nearby. Will definitely return. The... More

Hotel rooms were delightful, not your ordinary cookie cutter here. A porch and fireplace in the room add to the charm of high wooded beamed ceilings. The fireplace was carefully cleaned and new wood added each day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The deer in the parking lot were quite a nice added touch. The only negative was the... More

Me and my new wife have just returned from 2 weeks in Banff where we got married and we stayed at BML. My wife lost her purse on the journey over which we realised at check in. The staff at BML were really helpful and started ringing around at the airport for us. They also got us checked into our... More

We flew into Calgary and planned to stay one night in Banff before driving to Jasper and then come back to Banff. The first Banff night we stayed at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge and were extremely surprised. So much so that we cancelled the other hotel and booked another room at the Lodge for our second trip around. The rooms,... More

We spent part of our Honeymoon here in December 2003. The Xmas atmosphere was wonderful, and the service and hospitality exceptional. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom with a claw-foot bath ideal for soaking aching muscles when returning from Sunshine! Highly recommended!

If you like being out of the town scene, yet minutes by car from all the top attractions of Banff, this is the place to be. Very comfortable, wonderfully rustic yet very clean with all modern conveniences, (no A/C, but we didn't need it in mid-August) spacious rooms and bath, and we used our balcony and fireplace for the ambience... Somewhat cramped room with fireplace and view of mountain away from busy Banff Center had great bed for comfortable sleep. Probably a good value for Banff which is more expensive than Jasper and similar to Lake Louise. Wish there were less noise from Tunnel Mountain Rd - busses, etc. Disappointed that there was not even a fridge. Friendly staff offered... More

We stayed in one of the premier rooms and it was just fabulous. Definitely pay the extra for these rooms, they are really worth it! Very rustic interior and very cozy. If you're coming to Banff to have a "mountain" experience, I highly recommend this hotel. The landscaping was gorgeous and it felt more like a condo than a hotel.... More
