We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. Whilst the lodges themselves were nice and comfortable, we did have a couple of issues with the accommodation. As the door to our room opened out in the to courtyard and open area (rather than a corridor of a hotel), there was an additional security lock on the door which we locked... More

Absolutely loved our stay in Banff and Buffalo Mountain Lodge is the best place to stay if you want to be close to town but far enough. Hotel is about 3 mins drive from the centre of town. Our room had a view of Mt Rundle. The only let down was that we could hear every sound from the room... More

One of our favourite hotels in the world for the times when we have a bit more money and feel like splurging, is Buffalo Mountain Lodge. It's luxurious. Clean, cozy, romantic, quiet, peaceful and one of a kind. Each room has it's own fireplace and outside balcony or terrace. We have stayed on three separate occasions and found the fire... More

If you're seeking for more of a secluded spot in the national park instead of in town, this place is a winner. Large comfortable rooms with fireplaces, claw foot tubs and natural stone bathrooms makes for a very warm feeling. Free WiFi with good speed. Quiet environment but only 5 minutes down the hill to town. Run by CRMR, it's... More

Lodge style hotel located on Tunnel Mountain Road a short drive from the town centre. Several separate lodge style blocks. We were on the first floor i.e. one flight up an external staircase. The room was a reasonable size with a nice layout and fireplace. Very comfortable bed and overall a cosy and good quality feel. Staff were helpful and... More

This is our 5th time we have stayed here. Just located outside of the town core it offers a peaceful retreat and lovely mountain views. The suite is spacious with a fireplace and kitchenette though it would be nice if there was an oven available. The complex has a large heated outdoor tub, great for soaking in after a hard... More

Being in Banff for the busy season in the summer is always a challenge. Hotels are grossly over priced and not very easy to book. I had heard some good things about this hotel and decided to try it. Like some other reviewers, we were told that 4pm is check in and nothing was ready early. No call, offer to... More

We stayed here three nights in August 2014 in a king size bedroom suite. The room was not ready on time and we were asked to come back in an hour. Not impressed and not even an offer of another room that was ready or complimentary tea or coffee. So we went down to Banff, had a coffee and returned... More

This was a lovely resort with great staff and amazing food! We had the whole building to ourselves, which made it feel that much more intimate. The food service staff were pleasant and personable with all of the guests. They even made sure that the young children had drinks during the cocktail hour. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We stayed here 20 years ago on our honeymoon and returned this summer. It was great to be back! The hotel is up away from the bustle and traffic of the town with wonderful views of the mountains. We had a one bed room with fireplace which was spacious and clean. The carpet was stained tho and the entertainment center... More
