We love this resort and have stayed numerous times. Near town in a quiet area with easy bus transportation. Several easy trails nearby. Elk and deer frequent the area. Rooms have large stone wood burning fireplaces and some have claw foot bathtubs. Decor is tastefully done like a mountain ski lodge. This hotel has a nice restaurant the Sleeping Buffalo... More

My fiance and I stayed here for 2 days for her birthday in October. The pictures on their website do not do the rooms justice; they are beautiful and well maintained. Each unit is accessible from the outside and styled like an individual cabin. There is complimentary wood inside the room for your primate fireplace as well as a stockpile... More

We stayed here in October. The rooms are spacious with a log fire and the bathroom was spacious with underfloor heating. The restaurant offers a good varied menu and there is also more casual dining in the lounge area. Good location and wonderful views all around. Staff friendly and helpful.

This accommodation is up the hill five to ten minutes drive from Banff town centre which has to be considered when selecting it as a base. We first stayed here ten years ago for a long weekend and this time we were visiting for just one night. We've been many times in between for a meal, but not stayed over... More

Room was nice, quite charming, and reasonably priced for Banff. Insufficient parking for size of facility. Parking also very dark and poorly lit. Electric heater is located behind the headboard of the bed and "clanged" and "clicked" all night. Loud neighbours woke us up at around 3:00 am and kept us awake for some time. Little/no sound insulation. At checkout... More

We had a lovely premier room with a balcony overlooking great scenery. Pine trees abound and snowy mountains in the back ground. The room was very comfortable and cosy it also had a log fire. The restaurant looked very rustic and welcoming, the staff were very nice and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast was very good.

Banff is a place not to be missed and Buffalo Mountain Lodge is an ideal base for a stay of a few days. Located a short distance out of town, up a fairly steep hill, it is served by a bus from the town centre. We stayed in a premier room with a balcony offering great views. On opening the... More

Our room was fine and had a log fire. The bar menu and restaurant food were fine and the bar served a 'weiss beer' . The town is walkable but if you wanted to go out for dinner then you would need to drive. A very good hotel in the same chain as Emerald Lake Lodge.
