I stayed here with my partner in a queen room in mid- late October and we were very impressed. When we checked in the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and knew of their surroundings! The rooms were nice and clean and had just everything that we required, and if we happened to need anything extra the front... More

Stayed here for two nights and used it as a base to see the site in and around Banff. Just a basic room. There are no services here, just housekeeping. The room was small, but very well kept. Only two floors of rooms, second and third floor. The lobby was very small too, but it does save on congestion as... More

Banff is a beautiful town but outrageously expensive. Hotels are all overpriced but this historic one is reasonable if your are looking for somewhere to stay overnight only - it has no services. The room is small but clean and comfortable. Stayed here almost 35 years ago on a ski trip and not much has changed. The Banff Avenue downtown... More

Stayed here one night, moved for the second. It was a very small room, with a tiny window, very dark. No services with the hotel, ie no restaurant, breakfast or bar and the reception is only open quite limitied hours. No parking at the hotel, so you have to ferry from the limited free parking building a couple of blocks... More

We stayed there for one night while we had initially intended for two. Our room was dark and depressing - dark floors, curtains and walls. We had booked a room for 4 and two of us slept on the most lumpy pull out couch imaginable. I got up at 5 am and headed to the streets of Banff just to... More

It's a relatively inexpensive bed in a very expensive town. We pricelined a king room in August for $150/night. The location is right on the main drag - that's either good or bad depending on what you're looking for. Me personally would rather be a bit removed. We were awoken several times throughout the night by bottles crashing into a... More

I was her eon business for 3 nights in June 2014. The Fairmont wanted $400 per night - not paying that - so booked in here, thinking, its Banff, bad can it really be?. The location is perfect - right in the middle of the action in Banff - shops, food, etc. The hotel and rooms are dated, tiny, clean,... More

Since you're in Banff, you're probably not going to spend much time in your room, so this is basically ok. But the room is very small, with beat up furniture and a tiny tub. No closet, no drawers for clothes and a very small bed. Their attempt at room decor is bizarre with oriental, modern and early American all taking... More

I was touring some friends through Banff (I am from Jasper) and we booked on Hotwire.com. We accidentally booked for 2 people instead of 4 as we were booking from our phones. Upon arrival, they basically told us we were hooped and that if we called Hotwire they would instruct them not to refund or move us. They offered us... More

-welcomed by new mattresses being hauled in to every room. first thought: bedbugs. Googled bedbugs and the King Eddie...definite bedbug problem in the past. we experienced no bedbug problems, however -blankets sucked. AC was really cold and the blankets were so thin and worn. room got too hot when we turned off the AC -thin walls. heard everything and everyone... More
