We spent three nights at Susan's place. The room was really cosy and the bed was big enough to get lost in, and VERY comfortable! The shower was nice and powerful. The B&B is in the other side of the house to where Susan lives so you have a lot of privacy, but Susan is only a knock on the... More

Lovely home in a great spot - walk into town and to station. Beautiful breakfast and Susan was very welcoming.

The location is great - just two short blocks from the hubbub of Banff Avenue and in a quiet residential area. Susan does a nice job managing the B&B. The room was comfortable and clean. There was access to the rear garden which has a nice seating area. The breakfasts are good and change daily. Susan chatted with us and... More

Our 4 day stay at the Poplar Inn was one of the best "B&B experiences" my husband and I have ever had. The inn's location is just perfect--a very short walk to the local shops and restaurants. Our room was very clean and quiet, with plenty of privacy and tastefully decorated. Susan, our hostess, was just wonderful--always accessible but not... More

Susan was a great hostess and flexible in accommodating our schedule. We typically 'hit the road' very early in the mornings, which precluded us from being available for the standard B&B breakfast 'service.' She would prepare muffins, smoothies, juices, granola, and/or other breakfast "treats" and leave them on the bar so we could eat early and head out the door... More

Prior reviews by others accurately describe this very comfortable and ideally-located B&B. Susan is a great hostess, has lots of fact-filled info about Banff and vicinity, and prepares wonderful breakfasts. She is a Banff-born local who really knows the town, where to shop, options for good restaurants, etc. We'll stay here again the next time we come to the Canadian... More

Really good place to stay very handy to town. Easy to find we arrived to town late from Vancouver and found the place no problem. Very clean and tidy nice garden setting out the back, beautiful breakfast. We stayed for five nights which was enough time to see Banff and the surronding area. Susan is a great host and we... More

Good location, only a few minutes walk to shops, yet in very quiet street. Our host was great and we enjoyed our morning chats over breakfast. Room was very nice overlooking back garden. Really enjoyed our stay. Loretta & Ted Lennox Head, Australia

We stayed in Banff at The Poplar Inn in June 2011. The house is gorgeous, with a separate "wing" for the two B&B rooms/guests. Our room was a good size, and spotlessly clean. The location is superb, just a three minute stroll into Banff town. Susan, the host, sits and has a chat with you over breakfast which is a... More

We paid less for more in other places, but that said Banff is not the cheapest place to stay anyway, and bearing that in mind, this was a very good choice. It is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. It is in a great location in Banff, easy walking distance to the main street (round the corner) and... More
