Booked a 2 night stay via the internet. All straight forward and easily done. Arrived very early in the day and parked our car right outside the gate. Advised Susan we were in town and would pop back later. However, she showed us how to access the accommodation and which of the 2 rooms was ours. Left the car and... More

We just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Canadian Rockies. One of the high points of our trip was a stay at the fabulous Poplar Inn B&B in Banff. The location could not be better - close to downtown Banff, but off the main thoroughfare, so it was very quiet. We arrived early and our host, Susan, had thoughtfully... More

We stayed at the Poplar Inn for two nights on our summer holiday. The reservation process was straight forward. Reception was friendly. But you need to be aware of the restricted check-in times. Obviously the host cannot wait around all day for one or two parties to arrive (there are only two rooms). But still something to think of if... More

Our stay at The Poplar Inn was incredible, we could not have been happier. Susan was very welcoming and a gracious hostess. Susan’s home is beautifully maintained and extremely clean. Our room was spacious with great linens and a comfortable bed. The patio doors in our room opened onto a little deck in the back garden where I had morning... More

Just had a 3 night stay at The Poplar Inn in Banff and would recommend this friendly B and B which is situated close to Banff town centre but far enough away to be quiet at night. Susan's breakfasts were delicious and varied - all home made! Bed was very comfy and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time in Banff and the Poplar Inn was a great place to stay. Susan was a wonderful hostess and made us feel at home. She had wonderful stories of her many trips around the world and shared many interesting recollections of her husband and family from past years. The breakfasts were terrific. My wife had the misfortune... More

The Poplar Inn was a perfect bed and breakfast. Susan is a gracious, friendly and accommodating hostess, who shared much information about the area with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast chats with her. The two guest rooms and private baths for each are perfectly decorated and most comfortable. The common living room/kitchen area is fantastic for two couples traveling... More

We stayed at the Poplar Inn B&B this March when we were in town to visit a friend. Having everything at ground level was a great relief over the often experienced narrow stairwell luggage trial. The king bed was quite firm which was right up my alley. We slept great and loved the convenience of our own ensuite washroom. The... More
