First of all, my apologies for not writing this review earlier but better late than never. My husband and I stayed for two nights at the wonderful Boathouse B&B in Stratford last October and it was one of the best B&B experiences we ever had in our travels. Where to begin? From the moment the booking was made in advance... More

This was our second visit to Dave and Shirley and we can only endorse our experience of last year that it must rank as the best B & B experience not only of Charlottetown but arguably the whole of PEI. Well done to you both in all aspects of your home and hospitality. Breakfasts were yet again truly amazing -... More

We stayed here for one night as part of our driving tour of Nova Scotia and PEI. We chose The Boathouse based on TA reviews, availability at the time vis-à-vis cost and the beautiful views that previous guests raved about. This place is worthy of an Excellent rating minus one somewhat glaring detail that stuck with us. The 'premium' bedroom... More

Apologies for the delay in this response due to being away for a couple of months but we wish to thank you for the TA review of your stay with us at The Boathouse B&B. Your positive comments are most appreciated. However, we were very sorry to hear that you felt the Master Suite was not 'sterile' enough for your... More

Dave and Shirley are terrific hosts and make you feel at home, in their home. As stated they are just a few minutes from Charlottetown in a quiet residential neighborhood and most all attractions on the island are easily reached in 1 ½ hours, 2 hours to the furthest NW point of the island. We requested the room with twin... More

I only wish I could rate it higher. Shirley and Dave were wonderful friendly hosts and made our trip to PEI so great. The breakfasts were outstanding- food art- almost too attractive to disturb by eating; They provided gluten free for a friend travelling with us. We were provided with snacks to take with us on our day outings around... More

This B&B is outstanding in every regard: Dave and Shirley are so warm and friendly, their home is beautifully decorated and has everything one could require for comfort and convenience of both body and mind .....ie. peace, tranquility, beauty plus all the practical things like comfy beds, hair dryers, quality soaps and shampoos etc, and those marvellous breakfasts! The home... More

Absolutely fantastic. Shirley & Dave were great hosts and they have a beautiful home and location, just across the bridge from Charlottetown. The breakfasts were fantastic, both tasty and unique with flowers from the garden. We will certainly be back, hopefully soon.

My daughter and I stayed only one night but wished it had been longer. Shirley and Dave were so gracious and Shirley's breakfast was amazing! The afternoon that we arrived we spent a couple hours on the deck enjoying the harbor view. The home is beautifully decorated and clean. We were in the room with two twin beds and it... More

We arrived at this B&B during a rainstorm -- No big shingle outside announcing this B&B in the neighborhood. Very unassuming from the front! Dave gave us a tour first of our room (WOW), and then the rest of the house. No details have been spared. The Master's Suite is fabulous... The whole place is gorgeous, with a view of... More

We stayed at the Boathouse for one week, and we highly recommend it. Our hosts, Dave and Shirley, were very welcoming and gave us good advice on how to make the most of our time on PEI. The house is conveniently situated for accessing downtown Charlottetown, highways and the airport. The standard of accommodation is excellent, and the breakfasts are superb!
