There seem to be a number of negative reviews of The Crossing. I thought I'd add my two cents worth and would try to be objective. This is in an isolated area and is only open for ~4 month per year. It is off major trucking routes for supplies and is on satellite for internet. It is also in a... More

I booked this lodge because I thought I was staying at a place in Lake Louise. This lodge is over an hour outside of Lake Louise. I discovered The Crossing gets away with listing itself as being in Lake Louise because it's mailing address is in Lake Louise. Drove past this place without realizing this was our accommodation for two... More

We stayed here, so there was more time to explore the Columbia Icefield and travel along the Icefields Parkway. Nice staf, and good rooms. Refrigirator, bath. Only expensive Wifi, they call 10 Dollar a minimum charge? Different places to eat, and a (souvenir)shop. Gasstation, so you can fuel up. Very nice situated, with nice views. Good beds.

We stayed here due to location--wanted to be between banff and jasper. The location was great and the place was very nice. Nothing fancy, but clean and quiet and lovely. There is gas and food here, so you can rest up and refuel for more adventures. The bed was comfy and the room was just a standard motel type.

We stayed at The Crossing, which is at the Saskatchewan River Crossing (Hwy 93 / 11) for just one night during August. The Crossing makes a very useful stopover when exploring the Canadian Rockies. It is made up of many chalet type units and has several communal areas, a small "pub" and shop. Importantly it has petrol pumps! The actual... More

If you need to stay overnight in the middle of the Ice Field Parkway this sprawling complex is your only option. They are not cheap, breakfast is not included and there are no discounts for seniors of AA membership. The rooms are small but totally adequate, there is no cell reception so of course any WiFi will be expensive and... More

OK, we didn't feel like driving further into Banff and were unlikely to easily get a room for the night without reservations. We saw The Crossings and decided to give it a shot. Look, if you are looking for a HIE or a Hampton or more, this isn't your place, but our room was clean enough (though dated), the bathroom... More

This was our second stay at the Crossing. The location is among the most spectacular we have seen. Surrounded by mountains, you stay at the Crossing to enjoy the glaciers, Banff and Jasper National Parks, and Icefield Highway. The accomodations, service and food are quite acceptable given this somewhat remote location. Expectations should be for the equivalent to a two... More

So, it would seem that our experience differs from most and but we found this place to be an excellent stop; indeed, we stopped there twice: once going North and then going South. What may be different is that we stopped in our RV in the car park. We can't really comment on the rooms and the prices may be... More
