My brother and I stayed here during a week long trip to Banff park. It was our third night on the trip and I had planned on staying in Lake Louise to easily access hiking spots early the next morning. Travago.com (see pic) where I found the hotel, lists its location in Lake Louise. But the report is actually 80... More

My spouse and I were looking for a quick getaway for a weekend somewhat close to home, when the hotel called and told us that there was a room available, we jumped at it. Moral of the story, always read the reviews first. We were initially told that we would be able to upgrade to a room with queen beds... More

First the good parts: The rooms are clean, the beds big and nice, the location is spectacular and the staff friendly. Now the parts that need improvement: Although the rooms (standard) are clean they were decorated in the sixties and no improvements have been made since. The price for one night is more than I paid for two nights in... More

Overpriced, ring around the bathtub, ceiling fan was not working, small room. Called ahead to see if we should book a room before we get there. We were told that it was not necessary, had lots of rooms and that we would get 20% off on arrival. .Got there, there were only two rooms left and we did not get... More

We loved the view but shouldn't have stayed. The pub was booked out for a function, the restaurant closed because it ran out of food and the toilets were blocked. Obviously busy with tourists but staff basically couldn't care about the issues. We couldn't get into our room until 4 because the hotel had been fully booked the night before.... More

We decided to stay for the night here even though it is priced beyond our normal price range. With tax in it was about 205.00 for the night. The room was small but very clean, well decorated with two very comfortable double beds. The scenery out the front window was worth the price when I glanced out in the morning... More

This is a motel style accommodation. I was surprised with how much I enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are older, but clean. The flowers planted out front of the room and around the buildings made it feel like home. Well cared for. We enjoyed dinner at the local restaurant with the kids; it was a little pricey but to... The Crossings is like an oasis of commercialism in the midst of park country. The store/restaurant has the feel of a truck stop, but the motel (yes, this is more of a motel than a resort) is set back and you really don't see/feel what's going on down closer to the road. The motel has a great, kitchy feel and... More

The Crossing is in a fantastic location for exploring the Icefield Parkway. Though tired, the accommodation is comfortable (no air conditioning), and clean. The prices at the restaurant, pub, store, gas-station, etc are ridiculous. Others have commented that the location is not remote enough to justify the prices, and I agree. It is on a highway, an hour's drive from... More

The Crossing is handily located where the David Thompson Highway joins Highway 93, running north and south through Banff and Jasper. The scenery was great in every direction. We stayed in a cabin-style room with basic furnishings, but it was clean, quiet and comfortable, and met our expectations. Food was expensive, but a bowl of chili and a hunk of... More
