My boyfriend and I stayed at the Glacier Inn and were very disappointed in the service/room. The service was the worst I have seen in a hotel. For $265/night, you would expect a welcome/smile/customer service, we got none of that whatsoever at the front desk. The rooms are very basic, you get about 5 tv stations, no fireplace, no jetted... more

The reason I am giving the Glacier View Inn an average rating is that the rooms were not soundproof. We could hear a baby crying and the plumbing being used next door for several hours into the night. Other than that, we really liked the inn. We had a glacier view room with an open loft, which was quite adequate... more

The best thing about this hotel is its fantastic location. It is expensive for a motel type of room but you get what you pay for with the view (see the wonderful view from our bedroom window). The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. The water saving taps were a bit awkward but we managed. The restaurant was very... more

If you can only travel the Icefield Parkway once you have to do it justice and that means taking at least two days to travel between Jasper and Lake Louise and that excludes any sightseeing in or around either town. That means an overnight stop and the Icefield Chalet is the ideal stopping off point. OK, the hotel is not... more

We booked a Glacier room in this hotel primarily because of its location and were not disappointed. It was also great to be able to beat the crowds of tourists, by taking the last (quieter)Snocoach of the day up to the Athabasca Glacier itself, enjoying beautiful sunshine. We ate in the restaurant (not brilliant - but no alternative!), and then... more

Chalet is not an accurate name for this facility. Brewsters Icefield Terminal is a more accurate description. The building is primarily a large bus company (Brewsters) terminal for tours onto the glacier. The 2nd floor has a subsistence level cafeteria and a dining room that opens for breakfast and dinner. The dining room fare is unremarkable except for the steep... more

I had visions of a cosy retreat with stunning views. The view was great! Our two rooms at this hotel were very spacious, adequate but gloomy. The loft beds in one room had been slept in and were unmade. There was a large amount of congealed dust in the corners of all the lounge chairs in the single-level room. The... more

My husband and I spent a night at the Icefields Chalet half expecting that the hotel would coast on its fabulous location, and, boy, were we right. Check-in time was supposed to be 4:00, but when we arrived around 5:20, we were told the room would not be ready for about 10 more minutes. When we got to it, the... more

Talk about a room with a view...THIS is it! We had a huge, corner room overlooking the glacier and the Columbia Icefield, and the view was magnificent; we were in awe. The hotel rooms, situated at the top of the Columbia Ice Field Centre are not luxurious, but they are very nice. Our room had a sleeping loft, a queen... more

Got here too late for glacier tour so decided to stay overnight. Very comfortable rooms overlooking glacier , a photographers dream. Were luck enough to be there in low season so rate was very attractive C$120 / night + tax ( everything in Canada is plus tax ) , would not however stay over in high season due to increase... more
