We have camped with our family & friends @ this campground. Big time family campground, it all revolves around the kids. Helicopter rides, petting zoo, beach. This is a very good campsite for the long weekend in the central ALBERTA area. Tents, RV's they accommodate everything. Highly recommended & u will need reservations.

We stayed in July for 3 nights. The rules are rudely enforced and taken to a crazy extreme (speed limit in particular). The cabin was smelly, in poor conditon and the sheets and towels (which you have to pay extra for) were of the poorest quality. Do not rent a cabin here. This is a beautiful part of Alberta but... We stayed at Ol MacDonald's Resort for a sibling family reunion in July. The Resort is without much doubt for families with younger children, staying in the campground. We stayed in a motel unit that was not clean (the shower was filthy). It is time for the owner(s) to upgrade the rooms and hire cleaning staff. We paid roughly $260.00... More

Absolutely filthy accomodations. There were mouse droppings and a mouse trap in our room when we checked in. The hide a bed was absolutely disgusting. I had to wipe it down several times and still didn't feel good about the kids sitting on it - let alone sleeping there! The facilities were also very rundown. A number of games in... More

We stayed at Ol Macdonalds resort Aug 6th -12th this summer and absolutely loved our stay. Check in was a breeze. The sight we were in was small and close to other campers but we love meeting new people and socializing so it was no big deal for us. We thought it was close to the stores and the beach... More

We went there first time but it will be our last because this campsite needs lots of improvement. First of all, staff is very unprofessional, don't have time to listen to anyone, they are in rush. Washrooms are extremely dirty, we never seen clean in 3 days; mud, spider webs, wasps hives, tissue papers, towel papers and sand everywhere in... More

We have been going yearly to Ol' Mac, for 14 years. Our kids have been growing up, loving this place. There has been a steady decline the past 4 years. More and more campers per site, over crowded ( Beach, concession..). I don't know if the owners have passed on the resort to family, but it seems cashing in on... More

Everything is run down and needs maintenance. The smaller bathrooms in the camp areas are filthy even after they came to clean! Didn't even empty all the garages. Campsite dirty and not cleaned. Garbage everywhere.

My husband and I took our 3 young children to this camping resort for the first time this July. What a HUGE disappointment. The staff was unprofessional, rude and not accommodating. I was told our cabin had air conditioning. When we showed up and it didn't I questioned the attendant and they said "Oh I have no idea....some do some... More

If you book a power, sewer, water site you are way too close to the next site. Most expensive firewood I have ever purchased, $1 for each piece of wood. The Farmer's market was not a farmer's market, they sold scentsy, tupperware, etc. The petting zoo, is not a petting zoo. You can't go in and pet the animals, you... More
