My wife and I shared a romantic meal followed by a stay at the Boot and I have to say I was very impressed. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere and service perfect. In the rooms, every comfort was thought about and taken care of. They are fitted and decorated to a very high standard whilst keeping the classic... More

We stayed at The Boot Inn just after it (re-)opened its doors in February. New, comfortabele decor, very friendly people and good food. We arrived very late, but we were offered an lovely beer tasting (4 different types of beer from the home brewery!). A great welcome! When staying over for business you might traditionally expect a Hilton or a... More

After been reroutes as my usual Derby hang out was fully booked this is a good alternative. Surprising warm and cosy room for "just" a pub. Very good menu, better then local recommendation Bulls Head. Additional perfect fast and easy to access Wifi. Also nice opportunities for a morning run if you like.

First of all let me congratulate the owner's mother on great service and a really warm welcome. We stayed over night recently and had a Christmas meal, and the food was wonderful - we had plenty to eat and it was great value. The owner's mother was rushed off her feet all day and didn't once moan or complain, she... More

We have enjoyed a lovely stay at The Boot in Repton. 14 of us had Christmas lunch there yesterday and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and looked after our party of children, parents and grandparents really well. The food was excellent and value for money the same. We enjoyed thick slices of moist turkey or... More

After reading the reviews on here I was nervous about the stay. However on arrival we were met with a cheery smile from Tim the new manager what a lovely person. Yes he admitted there was a limited stock and issues wuth some of the rooms, but he had been dropped and pretty much abandoned in the deep end. The... More

We stayed here for Download festival. The prices were higher than on the website, but that was to be expected given the time of year. The room we had was okay, there were 3 beds.. 1 double and 2 singles. They were all fine. Sadly on the first day we stayed there, we noticed there was a sewage smell in... More

The Boot Inn website, portrays the hotel as being this wonderful old pub with oak beams etc. When in reality, its a complete dive. Be prepared to be kept awake, by guests and staff slamming room doors. They don't shut, unless they are slammed. The internal bathroom door is the same, and try as hard as you like, you will... The Boot Inn is a strange one I must say. Great location, great car park, good food, nice interior, with a few negatives. I have been a frequent user of the Boot from the first day it opened. I have never been in any of the rooms so cannot comment as I am local and don't need to stay. The... More
