Jo and Rob accommodated us at very short notice and we had a wonderful stay. The Manor is very peaceful and we enjoyed afternoon tea in the pretty garden. The rooms are extremely comfortable and Rob cooks an excellent Aga breakfast. Great hosts and we would definitely recommend.

Wow! What a superb setting. Hired all three rooms for a family wedding in Alstonefield, plus the cottage for the bride and groom. Fabulous service. Made us all feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and stylish throughout. Highly recommend.

Using their website we requested a three night stay in mid August. The owners replied next day (Monday) saying that they were away but only two nights were available and if we wished to go ahead they would send booking details on their return on Thursday. We replied same day saying Yes. No contact on Thursday, no contact on Friday, no... More

Have just come back feeling refreshed and restored after a weekend in Jo and Rob's beautiful home. Stunning bedroom, wonderful hospitality (warm ginger biscuits and home-made hot cross buns by the fire). Great food at The George. Perfect.

We stayed here some 18 months ago and decided to come back with some friends. We are so glad we did, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home throughout, Jo and Rob are great hosts and their house is full of charm and history. The welcome, afternoon tea, roaring fires and fresh well cooked breakfast all make... More

Wow - what a gorgeous place - really unusual, wood panelled dining room and gorgeous lounge with open fireplace. The most welcoming hosts imaginable and fantastic breakfasts. Great place - will return

Wisteria Cottage is part of the Manor House 'estate'. You miss out on breakfast and company (apart from those you bring), but find a cottage a clear step above most you'll find in England Tardis like, the cottage, is small on the outside but roomy inside. It is warm, both atmophere and temperature, with wall heaters and a good log... More

We have just returned from an amazing 3 night stay for my partners 60th Birthday. The welcome we received from both Rob and Jo (and later, Bertie the spaniel!)was lovely, as was the Master bedroom we stayed in. They have created a beautiful, relaxing place that feels like a 'home from home' to unwind in. Afternoon tea served in front... More

Stayed in The Estate Rooms for 4 nights. Had a very warm welcome from Jo who showed us around The Manor House before taking us next door to our accommodation which is absolutely lovely. Really clean and beautifully furnished, everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Really close to lovely walks and nearby to Chatsworth House which is well... More

Lots of people run good B + B's but in Jo and Rob's hands you get more of a 'total immersion experience'. Obviously the premises are exceptional, and presented with magazine-ready flair by this talented designer duo, but that is just the start of what's so very right at Alstonefield Manor. Jo has a heart the size and warmth of... More
