My friends and I stayed for two Nights over New Year. We had the most wonderful time and could not wish for any better hosts than Jo and Rob. Everything was perfect. It was a truly memorable stay and I cant wait to go back. Ann

We stayed at Alstonefield Manor for three nights and it was an absolute gem. We arrived to a fabulously warm welcome, tea and cake on the lawn surrounded by Jo and Rob's beautiful garden. What a stunning house - it has a real 'wow' factor. It is beautifully decorated and furnished - perhaps not surprising as Jo and Rob are... More

Just spent a lovely week in the Estate Rooms which is the self catering cottage attached to the Manor House. Jo and Rob were very welcoming with tasty treats and lots of local knowledge - lovely setting and very comfortable. Also Rob's candlelit breakfast was lovely and a good start to set us up for a day of walking. Such... More

Jo and Rob accommodated us at very short notice and we had a wonderful stay. The Manor is very peaceful and we enjoyed afternoon tea in the pretty garden. The rooms are extremely comfortable and Rob cooks an excellent Aga breakfast. Great hosts and we would definitely recommend.

Wow! What a superb setting. Hired all three rooms for a family wedding in Alstonefield, plus the cottage for the bride and groom. Fabulous service. Made us all feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and stylish throughout. Highly recommend.

Using their website we requested a three night stay in mid August. The owners replied next day (Monday) saying that they were away but only two nights were available and if we wished to go ahead they would send booking details on their return on Thursday. We replied same day saying Yes. No contact on Thursday, no contact on Friday, no... More

Have just come back feeling refreshed and restored after a weekend in Jo and Rob's beautiful home. Stunning bedroom, wonderful hospitality (warm ginger biscuits and home-made hot cross buns by the fire). Great food at The George. Perfect.

We stayed here some 18 months ago and decided to come back with some friends. We are so glad we did, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home throughout, Jo and Rob are great hosts and their house is full of charm and history. The welcome, afternoon tea, roaring fires and fresh well cooked breakfast all make... More

Wow - what a gorgeous place - really unusual, wood panelled dining room and gorgeous lounge with open fireplace. The most welcoming hosts imaginable and fantastic breakfasts. Great place - will return
