Firstly I was impressed with the booking system for Chesil Beach Lodge. Very easy to use and questions were responded to promptly. There is no doubt that the lodge is in an excellent position. Just 3/4 of a mile outside Burton Bradstock which you can reach via a pleasant walk across fields. However the two pubs in the village were... More

We are pleased that these guests enjoyed the location and appointment of Fossil apartment We would have to say though, that their poor opinion of the local pubs is counter to the very complimentary guest reviews in our 'eating out comments book'. It is also disappointing to hear, after departure, of stored up niggles. We never rush guests in and... More

What can I say - just excellent and EXACTLY as advertised. We have been coming to Burton Bradstock and the Hives Beach coastline for 10years+. We had never stayed at the Beach Lodge before - we preferred camping (more glamping) or the occasional short Stay B'n'B for a couple of nights. Now we have kids (aged 5 and 7) we... More

We had a wonderful stay and from the moment we arrived to the time we left, everything was perfect. We had booked the Hive B&B room and it is beautifully appointed with a superb comfortable king bed and incredible views. Linda's delicious breakfasts, served in our room at a prearranged time, were utterly delicious. The combination of a stunning location,... More

I've lost count of the amount of times my husband and I have stayed at the lodge. We normally stay in self catering, always a wonderful experience. This weekend however, we opted for a weekend in the Hive B&B room. What a superb experience, doors open at night listening to the sea and Linda, my smoked salmon muffins were delicious,... More

We stayed there about 2 years ago now, and had a wonderful time. The room was absolutely beautiful. Very spacious and airy with lovely light shades of blue and white. We had a king size bed and a wonderful view of the sea and surrounding countryside. The bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast was a Full English brought to... More

Spent 3 nights in the Jurassic Room at Chesil Beach Lodge. Really lovely stay. Linda was friendly and took care of us. Kids enjoyed the garden and the dogs and we all loved the views and the apartment.

Just returned from two night stay in the Golden Cap Room at Chesil Beach Lodge. The room has the most amazing views of the coastline and beyond, simply stunning! A perfect comfortable retreat and the most pleasant and welcoming hosts in Linda & Cyril, will certainly go back.

Pity we only stayed here one night. We would have loved to spend more time combing the beach. Lovely views from our balcony. Probably more like a 25 minute walk to the village through the field and along he beach path but well worth it. Shorter along the road but all uphill coming back.

Stayed in the Chesil Apartment for a week in July with my husband, 2 teenagers and our two dogs. We arrived later than we had hoped but Linda was very welcoming, gave us a quick tour of the apartment and discreetly left us to it. I was so pleased with the apartment, the furnishing and decor really suiting the space... More

Had a lovely stay in the Cogden B&B room and can't understand the pettiness of the most recent reviews. Breakfast is superb and offers plenty of choice all made with fresh and local produce. They offer so many extras not seen in most 4* B&Bs, including fresh flowers, homemade cakes, chololates, fresh milk and cafeterias with ground coffee. Linda and... More
