The Bell is a nice old pub in Alresford. The room we stayed in was a good size, and the bathroom was huge (shame the shower cubicle was on the small size). Bed lovely and comfortable. Tea tray provided. Towels a little tired. We stayed in a room overlooking the road. Noise from the road and the pub was minimal... More

Lovely old inn with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The interior of the pub is delightful and quirky with loads of character. We stayed for one night. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. We had a large twin room, which was charming, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent large en-suite with roomy, hot power shower. Plenty of towels. There was a tray... More

On the second day of our tour of Hampshire we had dinner in this inn. Alserford is closely related to watercress so we had the spinach and watercress soufflé which was really tasty, so were the red pepper and tomato soup, the sole and the seabass. Good service. The dining hall is nice but I think it lacks atmosphere, neither... More

Excellent place for a well cooked and presented £10 2 couse lunch. At the end of the road from the Watercress Steam Railway station so if you arrive by train it's easy to find. Although it was very busy the water and waitress provided a friendly welcome and took our order quickley. If only all restaurants did the same. Good... More

A wonderful retreat with cool international staff. Family friendly place with exquisite cuisine. Loads of activities nearby, such as the fantastic historical Watercress Railroad Line, Hinton Ampner House and Gardens, tank driving, Cheriton village etc.

Stayed for a weekend as we were dining on the "Watercress Belle". Room small could benefit from a refurbish but the bed was very comfortable. As the room looked onto the courtyard it was noisy from all the people drinking there until closing time. The bathroom was a good size and the shower very good. However, the towels were very... More

Great crew and delicious food! Pub is real good! Almost 100 years young! Cool place to get together! Well preserved city! Grilled goat cheese salad, grilled pork... Good job and tastefully selected menu Nearby Co-operative store is well stocked with local fruits, vegetables and grocery stuff

I stayed with my husband for a weekend. Our room was small but comfortable. The bathroom and shower very small but the hotel is in a very old building. The toilet didn't flush properly, we had to ask for towels and had only one set of cups. Could do with a bit of money spending on details like towels which... More

Good food, very accommodating for dogs and their owners. Two lovely resident dogs. Friendly staff and food arrived hot and in good time. I contacted the pub via email beforehand to check they would let our bernese mountain dog pup in and got a reply within 30 mins. Would advice booking. Will visit again.
