I stayed with my husband for a weekend. Our room was small but comfortable. The bathroom and shower very small but the hotel is in a very old building. The toilet didn't flush properly, we had to ask for towels and had only one set of cups. Could do with a bit of money spending on details like towels which... More

Good food, very accommodating for dogs and their owners. Two lovely resident dogs. Friendly staff and food arrived hot and in good time. I contacted the pub via email beforehand to check they would let our bernese mountain dog pup in and got a reply within 30 mins. Would advice booking. Will visit again.

The food was adequate but nothing special- I had the roast pork. No longer a pub but access to the bar is limited by half dozen customers who think it is. Good point: there was no canned music. Bad point: We were in a party of 6 (3 couples), at time of settling the bill, 2 couples were paying in... More

Great they could supply a high chair, great they had a menu - the rest was sub standard! Roast Beef Dinner came with one floret of both Broccoli and Cauli, two small carrots, fatty over cooked Beef. Cost a lot of money. In comparrison The Bugle in near by Twyford serves for the same money - ish a roast with... More

We had a good meal in this pub but had to have an argument with the waiter before he would accept the beer we had been given was off. The pub part of the hotel was very busy, hot and stuffy and noisy. Fortunately we were taken into the restaurant part, there we were the only customers so it rather... More

We spent two nights at The Bell for a local wedding. It is marketed as a bed and breakfast but unfortunately both bed and breakfast were pretty unimpressive. Turning to the bed first - this was rather small for two, uncomfortable and badly sprung so that the slightest of movements by either of us during the night resulted in the... More

Stayed here for 1 night as we attended an event on the Watercress line. The room was adequate and clean but a bit on the small side. The bed was really comfortable and a good sized bathroom.Break fast was really nice with locally sourced produce. After the event we got back to the hotel at 11,15, the bar was closed, even... More

We went there as we were on an event for the Watercressline. It turned out to be quite a find. Great nights sleep. Bed superb. Bathroom that would have graced a hotel never mind a pub. The bar gave a quirky atmosphere. Good breakfast. Coundln't ask for more. Next time we will try the evening meal menu as it looked... More
