The bedrooms here are lovely- nicely decorated, warm, comfortable bed and very friendly owners. Book direct rather than via one of the booking sites to get their best rates. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Great restaurant and very comfortable bar area. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Local to this area... A Friday evening spent at The Inn at Grinshill, and what a wonderful one it was!! Truly delicious food, which we were both salivating from and we were still talking about it days afterwards! Served by the owners with a wonderfully, friendly disposition and excellent and engaging customer service skills. Felt totally welcomed and relaxed with... More

This is as close as it comes for me to the perfect small inn - lovely location with great walks from the door, beautiful old building, amazing food. It's a bit quirky, friendly, caters to locals as well as visitors, not at all pretentious and comfortable. What more can you ask. If I have anything to criticise the coffee at... More

Eaten here a couple of times now and the standard of food is excellent . Stayed over this time and had a very comfortable night and great breakfast. Once you get used to the pace of the place it is a very relaxing and civilised place to be . Particularly enjoyed the prickly hedgehog beer and the 16 year old... More

What a wonderful surprise. Gorgeous little hotel in the sweet little village of Grinsill. Husband and wife team very much in evidence. Warm welcome. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with shower and deep bath. Cosy bar and friendly locals. Lovely restaurant and the food was superb. Great service from all the staff and the Chef talked us through some of the... More

We found this hotel purely by chance and were delighted we did. A charming, small hotel with nicely appointed rooms (only 6) nestled in the hills outside of Shrewsbury. The real find is the dining room of the hotel which served a most delightful dinner. Excellent pies, baked cod, pate, lemon meringue parfait, cheese board (all local cheeses). Wine list... More

Our daughter and son in law choose the Inn for their wedding reception. The service before, during and after the wedding was to the same very high standard. All staff provided the attention to detail that made it that bit more special. The bedrooms were lovely, the beds especially comfortable and our bathroom was very spacious and modern. The village and... More

Three friends stopped by here for lunch. Could not fault the staff, the service, or the delightful garden. It is, however rather expensive for pub food, and choice is a bit limited but this is clearly displayed before ordering. Food itself was prepared to a high standard- yet another aspect which could not be faulted!. My personal obsession is for clean... More

We stayed here Saturday evening, rooms are lovely, big bathroom, tea/coffee facilities in room but no milk as owners supply fresh milk on request. Fell in love with their small dog that wanders about. Had breakfast next day in conservatory, sunny morning so nice atmosphere. Can't fault breakfast, had a choice, I had poached eggs ( cooked to my taste)... More
