First of all, we did not stay at this hotel. We were traveling from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz and ended up here, trying to access the beach in Los Barriles. (I had followed the signs that said Playa del Sol, thinking I was going to a beach) We had never been here and we wanted to see what... More

This was our first time to Los Barriles. My husband I are are avid travelers and had been to San Jose del Cabo a few times and stayed at a hotel in town and also had been to a tfew all-inclusive resorts. We vowed never to do it again. We were tired of fighting over chairs; guests reserving their spots... More

We stayed here for one night during the middle of our spring break week at Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach. What a hidden treasure! This is very small, quaint, old Mexico feel hotel. Beautiful little pool over looking the Sea of Cortez, with a poolside bar. This hotel still uses real keys for the rooms, we loved that! Three meals a... More

There have been widely divergent reviews of this place, usually based on expectations coming in. I thought I would add my two cents. First, Playa del Sol exists for fisherman, primarily from the U.S. It would also be a good place to stay if traveling up the coast, but I don't think it would make a good destination vacation. Second,... More

My husband kites I do not, so it was great to be able to watch him from and have a bathroom close at hand!!!! All meals are included in the price which we hadn't realized when we booked it. Meals were good some were excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful. We love Jesus, his infectious smile and warmth made... More

We stayed here for 4 nights with our two young boys (4&5) and it was lovely for our family. Our room was basically just what you need to sleep and get clean. Room was clean & our chambermaid was amazing and friendly. We LOVED the beach bonfire on Thursday night, nice touch. Pool was perfect temp. No hot tub though.... More

More on bells later.......... Compared to hotels we have stayed in Cabo area this would be a 2 star hotel. Don't get turned off by that number... 2 star only because it doesn't have all the glitz and glamour. Mexican Hacienda style that has atmosphere. The rooms are small, with only a fridge, and heaven forbid, no television. Yes no... More

Stayed here 3 nights, end of January 2015. Cons: rooms are not fancy. No tv. No internet in some rooms. Pros: food is included, and great! Right on the beach, nice pool, right in town, clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, nice pool bar, and did I mention 3 square meals are included. We loved the fact that they ring a... More

Family and friends stayed here for our daughter's wedding. Wedding held at Le Palmas, partner hotel. Chose to stay at this resort as it was all inclusive and a lot less expensive. It also is smaller and not as busy or noisy. The rooms are nice and large, not spectacular but all that one needs. No tv which is perfect... More

We stayed here from Dec 22-28, 2014, rooms are adequate, linens need to be upgraded. Clean and very personable staff. If you are a kite boarder or fisherman, this is the place. This is not a five star luxury hotel but very nice and totally laid back. At lunch and dinner, the "bell" is rung signaling that it is dinner... More
