this is a mega resort with multiple huge hotels. The time share hard sell really isn't there, but, it is a daily reminder. As with all mexican resorts, the staff is wonderful. The grounds are immaculate and greenery abounds. Our two bedroom apartment was good sized, well appointed and very well soundproofed. Only electric carts are allowed on the grounds.... More

The people at the Grand Mayan palace in Nuevo Vallarta do not get that by giving the owners of Mayan Palace the access to the aquatic parks are the perks not the cost. If they please the kids of the parents who are spending money at the restaurants, who will be referring more friends, etc...the Mayan resort will reap for... More

We stayed here with a group of friends in June 2015 and we all were pleasantly surprised at the amazing grounds, restaurants and customer service. The resort sits in a highly secure family friendly compound the size of Disney world. There are at least a dozen great restaurants to choose from that offer a highly diverse menu selection. I will... This is a very nice resort. Don't be fooled into thinking that because you are at the one resort with several buildings that you will have access to all amenities. The website is misleading and made us believe that we would have access to the lazy river at the Grand Mayan which was not true. I did not appreciate the... More

This place is the best. If you don't like all inclusives but still want all the luxuries you can't go wrong at the Mayan Palace. The rooms are modern will all the conveniences, the numerous restaurants on the resort or at sister resorts a short golf-cart ride away are fantastic. The kids pool are was great for little guys between... More

My mother and I loved the Mayan palace. The hotel has an open lobby with the breeze constantly flowing through. It is the most centrally located accommodation on the complex, so it was easy to walk everywhere. Even though it is the oldest hotel in the complex, or so I heard, it is still lovely, with wide corridors, and immaculately... More

We travel with 2 teenage daughters who are "divas" so the spring Break holiday has to be up to their lofty expectations...and this time we definitely went above and beyond ... surpassed their ideas and found ourselves in one of the most wonderful resorts ever! I felt like it was heaven on earth. I felt so relaxed. There are boardwalks... More

We stayed in a 1-bedroom for our first 2 nights and then finally agreed to a timeshare presentation and were upgraded our last 5 nights to the Grand Mayan. Fact: we did not ONE time feel hounded about timeshare presentations. If you say a firm no to start, we were never asked again. In fact, when we inquired about upgrading... More

We stayed here directly after a week at our time share, Paradise Village. The Mayan is a lower level of ownership in this huge resort. We stayed at the Grand Mayan last year (one of the top level), and except for the Grand's lazy river (NO other levels allowed there!), and perhaps upgraded bath fixtures and slightly larger room with... We checked in and were immediately pounced on by a salesperson that relentlessly sought out an appointment with us for an "owner update." She would not give up until we finally agreed to the "one hour" presentation with free breakfast. It was four grueling hours with a good closer. The room itself seemed to be an anachronistic time share from... More
