We booked the Mayan Palace through our vacation club and thought we would finally be staying in a top notch place for the great value they claim to offer.. I read the reviews and decided to hope for the best, since the reviews are not consistent in any way. Seems people love it or hate it! Anyway, we arrived at... more

This hotel has beautiful landscaping and surroundings but it is out of the way of shopping and other restaurants. You have to take a taxi or you can take a bus which is 120 pesos to go into town and shop for food etc . You are at their mercy for purchasing food and drinks at ridiculous prices. Wal-Mart provides... more

We just returned from the Mayan Palace at Nuevo Vallarta and had a great trip. As with most reviews, the timeshare people are out in force at the airport and other areas. This shouldn't be a problem as of November as Mexico is passing a law that his will not be allowed anymore. The hotel was nice and the staff... more

Here is my first piece of advice to all travelers coming into the Puerto Vallarta airport. There are 3 sets of doors after customs or entering Mexico , DO NOT STOP AFTER THE FIRST 2 SETS OF DOORS GO DIRECTLY TO THE THIRD SET OF DOORS!!! Here is where you will find all the car rental cos. and anyone that... more

We--my husband, daughter and fiance, and I --had a great time and have not experienced any of the negative comments in some of the reviews. The room (a one bedroom suite) is excellent in every way (OK the marble floors are a little hard, but very clean), and the separate reservation I made for "the kids" was perfect in that... more

We are owners in Grupo Mayan but we were first time visitors to NV. In fact, it was our first time staying at a Mayan property. Overall we were thrilled with our stay. There are a couple things that didn’t meet our expectations with the Mayan Palace, so I have to start with a bit of history about our Mayan... more

The weather was great. We had a 1 bedroom suite. It was roomy, very clean and comfortable. The people working at the Mayan are very friendly and helpful. Everyone always has a smile on their face. The view from our room was incredible. The food was great. Very relaxing atmosphere. Would go back again. more

We came to Puerto Vallarta for 10 days and spent our first weekend at the Mayan Plaza, by invitation, to come check out the area with an offer of a "gift" of free 18 holes of golf - we knew we had to sit thru the 90 min Time Share presentation. We arrived mid afternoon and the salespitch began in... more

Although they kept the grounds immaculate and the weather was great. I felt like I was on stuck on a american compound. 8 year old crappy dance music playing at the pool. Corn dogs and chicken wings on the menu. Inconstant drink quality. Never heard any mexican music at the pool. No real mexican food on the menu. (Unless you... more

We just returned from a week in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed at the Mayan Palace in MARINA VALLARTA, not Nuevo Vallarta, however, we were still able to access the Nuevo Location and use the pool, etc., as a change of scenery. We visited there one day and here is what we found about both locations: - Overall, the drink prices... more
