We stayed in Xalapa mainly to visit the archeology museum. Although Posada del Cafeto is right in the center of town, it is on a narrow little street that is perfectly quiet. We were able to park our car safely on the street right outside the door of the hotel. Welcoming staff, smooth arrival. We had emphatically requested windows, and... More

This is a nice option for those who want some charm, yet are happy with simple, clean accommodation, where the wifi works well. As mentioned by others, the location is good, not too far from the city centre, yet on quiet side street. My room, #106, was small (barely room to open a suitcase without taking up most of the... We spent 2 nights here and loved it. We arrived by ADO bus from Veracruz and got a controlled taxi ticket (40 pesos) from the bus station to the hotel. The staff here are very nice, friendly and helpful. We were given a map which is always helpful. We had a very good breakfast, ham omelette made to order, orange... More

The Posada del Cafeto is a well located and comfortable bed and breakfast hotel. We stayed here with a group on a road tour of Vera Cruz state. The rooms were nicely furnished tho it was a little odd to have the shower and toilet in 2 separate little rooms. (I believe other rooms weren't like this...)It was nice to... More

I stayed for one night at this hotel in historic Xalapa. It is just a few minutes' walk to Park Juarez and the cathedral. A taxi to the anthropology museum is about 450 pesos and the staff will arrange it for you. Angel, the young man at the desk, was especially helpful. The breakfast is served in a cute little... A 3 night stay confirmed it is a very good hotel in a quiet side street very close to central Xalapa. Breakfast is included in the reasonable price. Highly recommended. i also recommend going to the Anthropology Museum which is full of interesting stuff very well laid out.

Posada del Cafeto is a modest hotel. It took us some time to located it since it is in a narrow street off the main road. They do not have parking but our car was placed in a nearby garage. The rooms are small but it has all the amenities of some of the big hotels in Mexico. It included... More

We were happy to find this nice, moderately priced, friendly hotel close to the zocolo in Xalapa, Veracruz. The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms simple, but clean and pleasant. I recommend it highly.

This was the hotel I stayed in when I first visited Xalapa. Xalapa is now my home. Excellent, very clean, well located near the city's colonial downtown, on a quiet street. There are several decent restaurants nearby. Please note that this hotel is downhill from the downtown centre, so it is a bit of an uphill hike to get to... More

The style of this hotel is lovely, a sort of rustic/monastic feel (in a very good way, if that makes sense). Very calm and tranquil. The rooms are lovely. A previous review said the rooms were cold. I wasn't cold at any point but the thickness of the walls do make the rooms cool. There were plenty of blankets in... More
