We booked with an agency for a 1 bedroom condo. When we arrived, they did have our reservation but no specific unit had been assigned. I told the agent that I prefer a deluxe resort and that I was quite particular. The units that they showed us were furnished with old furnishings, looked like they had emptied their homes and... We usually stay in all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, but due to the prices of flights this spring break decided to drive down to Puerto Panasco instead. We stayed at the Sonoran Sea Resort which is one of several Sonoran Resorts in the Rocky Point area. We were very impressed. The rooms were clean with a full compliment of appliances including... Only a 4 hour drive from Phoenix, Rocky Point is the closest beach destination for us. It is a hidden paradise in Mexico. The prices are cheap and the beach is GORGEOUS.....so much nicer than the California beaches. The water is warm. There are jet skis and banana boat rides to rent for a reasonable prices. The Sonoran Sea Resort... More

I just recently got back from staying three nights, four days at Sonoran Sea. As has been mentioned before, most, if not all, of these condos are privately owned and are rented out. We stayed at the Penthouse on the 10th floor and had an awesome view of the ocean and down to the pool. Our patio was a very... More

Overall the condo was nice with all amenities. When we experienced a few issues, maintenance was prompt to address the problem. Unfortunately, we discovered that the on-site restaurant was CLOSED during part of the week. The resort mini-mart must close by 9pm nightly as well, so if you're looking for a bite to eat, a trip into town was necessary.... More

This was our first trip to Rocky Point, and hopefully not our last! I spent 4 nights at the Sonoran Sea with my parents, sister and husband. As some other reviews have noted, this is a condo complex, and you're renting a unit from a family that owns it. Consequently, don't expect any ammenities that you might in a hotel... More

Just stayed at the S. Sea for 3 nights (8 friends/couples). One of our best trips ever! Amazing view, beautiful pool, felt very safe and beautiful condo! We spent breakfast on the awesome patio with huge ocean front view, afternoons by the pool and beach and nights around town. The condo (606W, 602W) were well furnished, kitchens had most of... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Sonoran Sea the first weekend in March. The condo we stayed in was a one bedroom on the third floor. It was just beautifully decorated and had everything you needed to cook a few meals. Great view of the pools and the ocean and of Old Port at night was stunning it was... More

My sisters, mom and a 1 1/2 yo neice stayed here for two nights in Oct. It was an absolutely wonderful time. Our room was clean, with fantastic views and a spacious balcony. The first evening we ventured just beyond the gate to a bar called La Changa, or something like that. It has a thatch roof. AVOID this place.... More
