Feedback to make: We were in Rocky Point for the 4th of July weekend and were invited to visit the Mayan Resort, which we did. But as soon as we got there the person that was supposed to assist us came to us and told us flat out.. Do you have money to pay on your debit card? If I... More

I had booked our stay to the Mayan Palace Puerto Penasco through a vacation club because I wanted it to be an international experience for my kids without having to get passports for all of them. My husband looked online and read all sorts of awful reviews and almost didn't go. After getting there and experiencing the resort and the... More

We had no problem checking in. The staff was friendly and other than housekeeping, all spoke english. The Grand Mayan does have a few more amenities, but you need to have a time share with them to stay there. The pool was large and well maintained. The beach was only for use by guests of the mayan palace so it... More

Great family experience, quiet and private location, friendly staff. Family and I have gone twice, the last time we went they were under construction, and now its absolutely beautiful!! Its the best resort we have stayed at their in Penasco.

Because of the wide range of reviews that I read about the Mayan Palace, I try to write an update once a year. My wife and I are owners and stay at the Mayan in Penasco two to three times a year and have done so for the past 12 years. When I read scathing reviews about this place I... More

The resort is not all inclusive. We were disappointed that at checking we had to wait another hour just to get our room. I would recommend you bring your own food, spices such as salt, pepper, paper towels, water and alcohol. The resort is under construction however we were told it was on a stand still for about 3 years.... More

Went here for a 60th birthday for my mother in law. We did our time share exchange and that is the kiss of death. No not ever exchange your time share for this place. There are much better options to exchange into in Mexico than this place. Room Very basic room. Bathroom is in the level of a motel 6... More

First time as a Grand Mayan. Expected something special as it has taken 10 years to build them here. No special check in or check out. 5.5 hours till our room was ready even though promised in 2 - they had 1 cleaner doing our floor in the Grand Mayan - I went and checked twice. Now have valet parking... More

This beautiful resort is about 15 miles out of town on a terrible road, but the destination is worth it. The road was being repaired while we were there so a better drive in the future. If you have RCI or Mayan membership, the facilities are grand and very enjoyable. A nice collection of restaurants and a spa, gym, nice... More

We read all the online reviews before going and prepared ourselves for the worst. However, our stay was great. Bring Napkins, coffee filters, coffee, a sharp knife or a knife sharpener, bottled water and you will be fine. We also purchased a Verizon data plan for the trip before going it wasn't the best but it work pretty good for... More
