Staying in a very nice condo (Luna Blanca) about 2 miles from the hotel and have had dinner and drinks there a number of times in the past (average at best, but a nice change of pace). Stopped by late this afternoon to have a drink with my nephew and was informed by the waiters at the bar that we... More

My husband and I were invited on this vacation by our friends. We stayed in a two bedroom. We didn't get a water view, however we didn't stay in our room much. I did bring a mid size crockpot in my carry on. We cooked several dinners in it. For the kitchen, there were no serving size bowls. The skillets... More

This is a typical timeshare. Once you get past the reception/host area that assignes the rooms and tries to have you meet with the time share sales people, it has an adequate (unheated) pool, OK rooms and limited activities. Remember that there are limited kitchen facilities (1 bedroom and above) so you need to bring food or eat at the... More

No only is it 20 or so miles out in nowhere's land. The furniture and kitchen cabinets were dirty. Food stains on the furniture, doors, and cabinets. The Resort is below the standards that I am use to staying at. Will never go back. The food is over priced for the quality. Every day around 10am the cable and telephones... More

Mayan Palace Resort, Puerto Penesco, Mexico May 17, 2015 My wife Sheryl and I left our home in Diamond Bar, California on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Our destination today was the Shilo Inn in Yuma, Arizona, a little more than half way to our Ultimate destination on Sunday of the Mayan Palace in Puerto Penesco, Mexico. We left at 10... More

I was very pleasee with my recent visit to the mayan palace/grand mayan. The grand mayan recently opened and when they are done with construction it will be very beautiful. You might want to wait until 2017 to go there unless you don't mind soaking in the sun while construction workers look at you out of the corner of the... More

My husband and I heard/read such nice things about The Mayan Palace from friends that we decided to go for a few nights. It is located in Puerto Penasco, also known as "Rocky Point", which is nice because it's only a 4 hour road trip from our house in Fountain Hills, AZ. 3 hours to the Mexican border and 1... More

We have visited for 11 years...check in continues to be a nightmare. For the past 3 years we make a note of room location preference when reserving, then call ahead the week or 10 days prior to arrival...this year it took an hour of argument and the rude manager confrontation to FINALLY GET OUR ROOM..IN A COMPLETELY EMPTY WING (supposedly... We spent 6 nights and 7 days at the Mayan Palace, Puerto Penasco, Mexico, last week. It is about 20 miles out of town so there are no other close restaurants, etc. nearby. The tide goes out 1/3 - ½ mile every night so in the morning there are thousands of beautiful shells all up and down the beach. Overall... More

Where do I start?! Let's first begin with the road just to get there. It is dangerously full of very large potholes, ruts, and broken asphalt. You're traveling 60 mph through some of the ugliest, dry flat desert, and BAM! you've burst a tire or almost hit head-on by an oncoming car that went into your lane to avoid a... More
