My husband and I just spent 4 nights over July 4th weekend at the Sonoran Spa. I was pleasantly surprised. We had a nice 1 bedroom unit (N403) with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It was nicely decorated, very clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen (utensils, cookware, small appliances); not enough forks and no wine bottle opener, though.... more

We stayed in the Sonoran Spa for three days in early March (during U of A's spring break). We drove from Tucson - an easy and pretty drive, despite much hype about the danger. We saw nothing to indicate danger. The weather was a bit cool, but nice. The Spa is the oldest property owned by this group and although... more

This was our fourth time to Puerto Penasco, and we normally stay at a hotel on Sandy Beach, but this time I wanted to try something different. I must say the moment I opened the door to the condo I was speechless. There was a huge glass window and door to the balcony with the most amazing view of the... more

We rented a 3 bedroom condo at the Sonoran Spa in Rocky Point, Mexico July 12 - 14, 2008. We stayed in E401. I was actually pretty disappointed with this resort - and I have stayed at several of the resorts along Sandy Beach. Parking - It's gated and gaurded, you can only get in and out of there by... more

This was a 4 day vacation that was GREAT! We went to Rocky Point with some friends and had a blast. The Sonoran Spa is perfect, the grounds are clean and neat with beautiful landscaping. The condo we had W-608 was awesome and very well appointed. It has A/C a washed & dryer and wonderful furnishings through out. The Spa... more

Great stay. Condo was very nice (N707) with all amenities. Beach nice and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Fun to rent 4-wheel vehicles and ride over hills and gullies. Highly recommended. more

We were curious to see Puerto Penasco as part of a winter trip to the Southwest. This was not peak season, so we got a special free night with a two day stay at the Spa. The booking service was very helpful in going over the various options and room views, etc. We did not expect that this would be... more

We recently had a delightful stay at the Sonoran Spa Resort. The 1-bedroom unit had a beautiful view, was nicely decorated, very clean, with a very comfortable bed (unit N704). The resort was very family-friendly and provided a relaxing stay. The resort staff were very efficient , pleasant, and helpful when needed. more

We stayed at the Sonoran Spa from Oct. 8 - 12. We booked online through the "official" website - apparently there are "pretenders" that make their site look official. However, I have since learned that you can book this property more cheaply going direct to the owners - look online, craigslist, etc. We booked room W405. It was a good... more

We stayed in 601 and it was amazing. We state the room number because it's important to remember that these condos are privately owned and furnished differently. We had a 3 bedroom for my 2 girls and my wife. Way more space than we needed! The staff was responsive, and very hospitable. We walked out on the balcony and watched... more
