This hotel is fabulous ! The staff is great, there is free parking and the entrance is on a car free pedestrian street close to the city's main square. The hotel used to be a monastery and has been updated! The rooms are huge and the restaurant has fabulous food!

The location is excellent, in the center of town on the pedestrian walk way. I arrived at 6:30 am and they aloud early check in. Since I had an early flight on check out day they recommended that I eat breakfast on arrival day because I would not make breakfast on day of check out. I was will taken care... More

I really like the rooms here and would chose to stay here again since it is in the center of everything. The "American" breakfast can be very much mexican. Eggs (ranchro, mexican, any way you want), bread, fruit, coffee, restaurant was basic. The lobby is comfortable and is part of the coffee shop they run. I thought my room was... More

What an exciting and interesting city and this hotel boasted the best location. Breakfasts included were excellent , service outstanding. Our room was a little small but our friends had a larger suite. Great place... wi fi in lobby for us

we stayed at the Hostal for four nights while attending a friend's wedding. our room (103) was a bit tight (with the king-sized bed), but otherwise very nice. the breakfast was okay, not great (we went one morning to the Rincon Azteca, which was great). the location is perfect, across from the cathedral, on a pedestrian mall. the staff in... Internet access is spotty or non-existent...most times it doesn't work in the room. Limited breakfast is included, and can add buffet for $60MXN, but food is mediocre. Staff is nice and tries to be accommodating, but limited english hampers their ability to be 5-star for this US resident.

Our excellent tour guide Skippo picked us up for the about 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive to Durango. We travelled the new road passing through 62 tunnels and over the 1,321 foot high Baluarte bridge the worlds highest, and it is 4,101 feet long. An amazing feat linking Matzatlan and Durango and cutting travel time by half. We saw... More

Most of the historic attractions are within easy walking distance of the center of town and the Hostal de la Monja is right at the heart of town. It is located on the pedestrian only promenade (Calle Constitucion) across the street from the cathedral and less than half a block from the main square. |(Plaza de las Armas). But beyond... More

This hotel is in a beautiful colonial building but it has modern amenities including coffee in the room. It is located in the historic center of Durango Mexico on a pedestrian thoroughfare across from the cathedral. It is a few steps away from the Plaza de Armas which is the tourist center of the city. There are city tours and... More
