We were greeted by amazing staff who couldn't do enough for us. The owners were relatively new so am sure that they will keep improving the hotel!! They made us feel so welcomed and the food was lovely. Would definitely return!!

Very lovely outdoor setting, unfortunate lack of ambience within hotel, seeming generally lacking in the lovely lake district ambience. Rooms lacking taste and lack of personality. nice day out for tea in the garden however not much else.

We stayed overnight, during a cycle challenge! Made to feel very welcome & nothing was too much trouble for Mel & Clive. Lovely comfy bed & clean room. Delicious evening meal, served promptly & very fresh! Nice atmosphere in the bar. We would certainly stay there again. Very friendly, welcoming people.

We visited the restaurant (didn't stay at the hotel) and thought service was ok, the food was good enough, although we had to wait 25 minutes before we were told that there was only one piece of fish left and had to re-order one of our meals. Stayed here due to work, rooms need refurbishing, feel dirty! Would only stop here again if nowhere else was available! Curtains did not even fit the windows properly. Could hear traffic noise really bad from bedroom! Food wasn't great either.
