We thouroughly enjoyed our two night's stay at this B&B. Both Mike and Maureen were excellent hosts. On Rooms : We booked two rooms with them and the beds were very comfrotable and homely, the only irking point was the bathroom, where the water was either very hot or very cold (despite the the warning labels on the walls). Advice... More

We stayed at Plumtree House ( family group) for one night on our way to the Peak District. The house was ideal, very comfortable. As we had booked out most of the rooms we had the place to ourselves and made use of the sitting room once the children were in bed. Breakfast in the morning was very good with plenty... More

We were booked in for an overnight stop on our way from S Wales to Scotland (mature couple with dog). We hoped to be there for 7 pm (and had a table booked at the Wheatsheaf for 7.30) traffic on M6 meant we had to revise our times more than once; the owners of Plumtree rang to check on our... More

A little off the beaten track, Plum Tree House is situated on the edge of the pretty village of Brigsteer. We were in Room 3 at the front of the house which had beautiful views across the valley,a lovely way to start the day. The room was tastefully furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom looked a little dated but was... More

A lovely wee b&b in the middle of the lake district with stunning views of the countryside. Rooms are en suite and adequately equipped with tea coffee making facilities etc. There are some nice 'woman's touches' in the decor. Breakfast was hearty and no trouble to cater for my veggie partner. Do not take a large vehicle however as many... More

Stayed for one night and had everything we needed. Storage for our bikes was offered. Some clothing was washed & dried. Cooked breakfast was just right. Rooms clean & comfy. Lovely location. Provided torches for the walk to the local pub which they recommended.

We stayed here for one night and was pleased with the clean and tidy room. The bed was comfy and very big. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We found the breakfast was average. On the whole we enjoyed out stay and would stay here again.

We stayed for 1 night whilst passing through Kendal. Pleasantly greeted and shown to our room by Maureen. The room itself was basic with splits in the cieling wallpaper and the bed wasn't the most comfortable - but did the job for the night! Bedroom was well stocked with tea/coffee making facilities and the bathroom was nice and clean. We... More
