Just returned from a relaxing week at Cruck Barn ......in need of little T.L.C but stunning location ,off the beaten track but local amenities a short distance away . .once log fire lite , a cosy cottage during a cold February week most appealing. The owner made us very welcome with advice on walks and the local area.....recommend The MIill... More

My family and I stayed for Christmas and we couldn't have had a better time!!! The barn was great and had everything we needed, even a Christmas tree and decorations the kids loved it. Stayed here in July & wish i had read an earlier review on trip advisor before i booked it. Damp & mould in the bathroom, smelt of damp in the bedroom which the owner couldn't see or smell when we showed him!! We rented Cruck Barn for a week. Cruck Barn has incredible views and you can use the owners private land to walk straight to Blencathra. Spent 2 weeks at a place called The Cruck Barn at Ulswater. Wish i could turn back the clock.
