Hotel budir was our second hotel on our iceland adventure, we had such a lovely stay at our last hotel we did not know if budir could compete but it was even better. We were very late on the day of our arrival (due to the ever changing Icelandic weather), we phoned ahead and they were lovely and even reserved... More

Not the most friendly greeting when we arrived after what was the most treacherous journey but we felt lucky to have made it in one piece. Went to our room on the ground floor no coffee making facilities or shower gel only shampoo and soap. Went to the bar for a coffee and a couple of gin and tonics no... More

We stayed here the last 2 nights of our walking and photography trip around Iceland with our friends. A perfect end to a perfect holiday. The staff were amazing, the food brilliant and the rooms just want we wanted. Not a cheap hotel, definitely a sparkle of luxury, but well worth it! Would love to go back on our next... More

Hotel Budir is great. I stayed here for several winter days (nights mostly) after an ice storm. This place felt particularly remote given the cloudy-stormy weather during my visit and the treacherously icy roads we braved to get here (and didn't brave once we got here--so we only explored the immediate area on foot). It's a beautiful building set at... More

Five star everything. Staff wonderful and nice. Food so good, so good can't even describe that. Room wonderful, spaceous and warm. Slept great and had a great dream. The dog Nagli made my day. Saw an eagle fly by. Love this hotel 😃 looking forward to have the opportunity to come again. Thank you.

First off, we didn't stay at the hotel overnight, so this review is only for the restaurant and other common areas of the hotel. The first thing that you'll notice (excluding the phenomenally epic natural surroundings) will be the unbelievably gorgeous decor and design. The whole hotel is steeped in old worldly luxury and romance. We stumbled in just as... More

We stayed here for two nights hoping to see the Northern Lights but unfortunately caught the beginning of a pretty horrendous storm which actually left us stuck at the hotel for most of our stay. Luckily the hotel was great so it wasn't too much of a problem for us. The room we booked was large and the hotel had... More

We had a great stay at Hotel Budir. We arrived on the morning of a huge storm. Even though there were travel warnings we decide to make our way there because we couldn't think of a better place to be to watch and experience an Icelandic storm. Since we spend pretty much the whole first day inside the hotel, looking... More

We stayed at hotel Búðir for one night and our only disappointment was we were not there for longer. The location was absolutely amazing with mountains on one side and fjords on the other. The staff were lovely and really helpful (I am a beer drinker and one of them took the time to talk me through the local brews... More

Words cannot even express how much I love this hotel. If you Google images of the hotel, you will see many people holding their weddings here and it is easy to see why. Having seen amazing pictures of it, I was really excited to be spending 3 days here. We arrived at the start of winter and it was rather... More
