Amazing View. Went there for a wedding and stayed for three nights. This place was chosen for its view. Spectacular! We had a deluxe room with a view of two sides and the room was extra large. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us great advice on places to see. The food was great. This is a small... More

i've stayed in lots of hotels in lots of countries at lots of accommodation levels and I have to say this is one of the best ones yet. The location is amazing, the beds comfortable and both dinner and breakfast delicious. It seems to be perfect for any occasion, but this one was a get away for my husband and... More

My husband and I stopped off for a coffee break and it was definitely worth the wait. A lovely boutique hotel with beautiful surroundings. Next time, we will definitely be booking an overnight stay here as it's remotely located but worth to wake up to the natural surroundings.

The hotel and food are excellent! The hotel is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. The coast, the mountains, waterfalls and lava fields. You can hike right from the hotel and choose a 30 minute up to an 8 hr hike. We had a deluxe room which was clean and spacious with terrific view. The common areas are cozy and the staff... More

There's no good reason this place only has four blobs - it deserves five. The setting, with the Coast on one side, the mountains opposite, an inlet to the east and lava fields to the west is as dynamic as you can get, not to mention beautiful. I slept soundly, in a big, clean room and enjoyed the restaurant and... More

Although lodging in Iceland can be pricey and sparse in certain areas, Hotel Budir is among the priciest we saw and was by far the priciest we stayed in. We are comfortable in most any type of accommodation, so we did not have a need for a luxury property, but chose Hotel Budir for 1 night because it was conveniently... More

This charming hotel is located in a spectacular setting, with views of the glacier, lava fields, the ocean and the mountains, not to mention grazing sheep. You can hike right from the door. The restaurant is great too!

We spent 1 night at Hotel Budir during our wonderful tour around Iceland. Our time on the Snaefellsnes Pennisula was sadly shrouded in torrential downpours - we couldn't really see any of the scenery I think Hotel Budir is so famous for. However, it did create almost a positively Gothic like setting that I quite enjoyed - if I had... More

We have stayed in a lot of unique hotels and this may be the best one yet. From the amazing surroundings (lava fields, waterfalls, glacier) to a warm, welcoming environment filled with inviting sitting areas to top quality cuisine...this hotel is amazing!

We stayed at the Budir Hotel at the end of a week's tour around Iceland. The hotel somehow summarized our stay in Iceland. Some of the scenery we encountered was downright surreal, and so was the hotel in its own way, located on the sea with really no other building in view except a back-painted church. The locale reminded me... More
