Five star everything. Staff wonderful and nice. Food so good, so good can't even describe that. Room wonderful, spaceous and warm. Slept great and had a great dream. The dog Nagli made my day. Saw an eagle fly by. Love this hotel 😃 looking forward to have the opportunity to come again. Thank you.

First off, we didn't stay at the hotel overnight, so this review is only for the restaurant and other common areas of the hotel. The first thing that you'll notice (excluding the phenomenally epic natural surroundings) will be the unbelievably gorgeous decor and design. The whole hotel is steeped in old worldly luxury and romance. We stumbled in just as... More

We stayed here for two nights hoping to see the Northern Lights but unfortunately caught the beginning of a pretty horrendous storm which actually left us stuck at the hotel for most of our stay. Luckily the hotel was great so it wasn't too much of a problem for us. The room we booked was large and the hotel had... More

We had a great stay at Hotel Budir. We arrived on the morning of a huge storm. Even though there were travel warnings we decide to make our way there because we couldn't think of a better place to be to watch and experience an Icelandic storm. Since we spend pretty much the whole first day inside the hotel, looking... More

We stayed at hotel Búðir for one night and our only disappointment was we were not there for longer. The location was absolutely amazing with mountains on one side and fjords on the other. The staff were lovely and really helpful (I am a beer drinker and one of them took the time to talk me through the local brews... More

Words cannot even express how much I love this hotel. If you Google images of the hotel, you will see many people holding their weddings here and it is easy to see why. Having seen amazing pictures of it, I was really excited to be spending 3 days here. We arrived at the start of winter and it was rather... More

We had a fabulous time in Budir, the location is mesmerizing and I cannot wait to come back in summer time to see all without snow, the food was great, staff was super nice, communal areas were gorgeous, only slight minus was that the hotel rooms could do with an upgrade and that it was quite cold in the room

The hotel is very expensive, but due to the fact that we were there in wintertime, we got a winter rating. That was still quite expensive, but we just wanted to sleep there (a sort of a treat for ourselves). The personnel is very friendly and they help you with everything you ask. The hotel has different seating spots and... More

We had a wonderful two days at the Hotel Budir. It's a little bit of luxury in the middle of some amazing coastline. We visited in the winter when it has one of the only excellent restaurants in the area. Breakfast spreads were well stocked with skyr, meats/cheeses and salmon. For the darker times of day it has a beautiful... More

The Budir Hotel is located in the Lava Fields, having view to the Nature around from every window. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. Food is prepared with great care. It is located 160 KM north to Reykjavik [2*3 hours' drive].
