Delightful place set peacefully outside the nearest resort of Elafonissi. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The owner was charming and we probably enjoyed the best food here whilst in Crete. Freshly cooked traditional Cretan food. Probably our favorite stopover during our time in Crete.

The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere - it is quite some drive to Elafonissi beach. Rooms are very small, and owners are very busy with their taverna to provide some service for the hotel. There are no other places around to eat or walk - you absolutley need a car if you stay in this place. However,... More

Stayed here in the middle of October 2014. Rooms very clean with hot water. Great views of the sea. We'll away from it all. Owner really helpful. Great swimming pool. Across the road the hotel has a brilliant taverna serving fresh well cooked traditional Greek food. Would definitely go back. Down the road I visited a traditional Greek Orthodox monastery... More

a bit far from the Elafonissi beach, but good choice for clean simple rooms. the pool was nice (though very cold water in October), breakfast was good. service was perfect. for 1-2 nights it was the best option in the area and worth the cost - 50 euro per night, including breakfast.

Basic but clean rooms, nice views and near the best beaches in Europe Elafonissi and Kedrodados. The guys running the place are really nice and friendly and the food is top notch for Crete. Highly recommended

My partner and I had a lovely one night stay at Glykeria. As we are both Cretan living abroad we enjoyed a mini homeland escape at Elafonisi and Kedrodasos which are a breath away from Glykeria. Our room was spacious and clean with a jaw-dropping view of the sunset over the cliffs. The owners are truly wonderful hosts and the... More

More over breakfast was tasty and you could eat plenty, and as the food on our first evening was delicious we ate there thru out all our stay. The best was goat from local butchery and... More

We were looking forward to staying at Glykeria B&B and we were warmly welcomed. The room was spotlessly clean with an amazing view. The bathroom was basic, but functional. The pool area is nice. There was no bar service, we had to walk across the busy road to the taverna to pick up drinks. Dinner was a disappointment and expensive.... More

Staying on this part of the island is in itself something of an adventure; whilst the rooms do not offer the highest standards of accommodation, a shower in the morning can be a bracing event, the personality of the family team that run the hotel added to the excellence of the home spun cuisine combine to make a stay here... I agree with much of what other reviewers have said - very friendly and welcoming host, Niko; good food in the taverna - very tasty and succulent goat kokkinisto, grilled veg a nice change from horta\horiatiki; generous raki and yoghurt with honey and walnuts. Wine, more expensive than the norm of about 7€ - it was over 9€ a kilo... More
