After having begun our journey to Provence officially by choosing this hotel coming from the north, we were hoping for more friendly and typical French hospitality like one would imagine in other places. Not many could live up to Le Manoir. There is a lot of love for details in this romantic old building that really deserves the name "manoir"... More

We stopped off at this hotel for two nights on our drive from the Aude back to Switzerland. The justification was a visit of the fortress sitting atop the limestone cliff which rears up behind the village. As we were making the booking (on the way south), we decided to stay two nights and to visit Avignon on our full... More

We always time our 800 mile drive to arrive in Mornas at around 12.30 for lunch on the terrace. This year, the rain drove us all inside, but the food was as always excellent and excellent value. Ratatouille and runny poached egg followed by a beautiful cooked fillet of fish, washed down with well-priced wine by the glass. Service is... More

We have now stayed here twice en route to Aix and have never been disappointed. This is a very good hotel with basic but comfortable rooms with everything you need for an overnight stay. You can book half board through Logis and this is well worth it as there is a good quality restaurant which serves brilliant meals accompanied by... More

I'm sure that many visitors use Le Manoir as a very pleasant base from which to explore northern Provence or the south of Rhone-Alpes at a more leisurely pace. However, I would like to recommend it specifically to over-night travellers who are looking for something a bit different from the usual quick-stop options in France as they travel south. Mornas... Pleasant hotel. No unnecessary pretending of fake luxury. Cosy rooms, restaurant and garden. Breakfast is good, you receive a personal tray with selection of foods. Pleasant hosts. Good restaurant, but not very cheap. Dinner menu for 30 eur is great, very tasty and looking nice, but not very filling. It's a pleasure to have coffee in the garden, but taste... More

This excellent hotel also has an excellent restaurant with a beautiful shaded terrace overlooking the delightful and typically "provençal "garden , with an old fountain , beautiful trees and flowers . The chef prepares local as well as creative food , made from local produce . There is a wide selection of tasty dishes and a well stocked cellar with... More

Stayed here at Le manoir last September (sorry for late review) with my parents on the way to the med ... 2 nice rooms and excellent meal and breakfast , gates for the car park are locked during the night. Close to the main road and autoroute , but it did bother us .. Excellent value for money ...

Last October (2012) we discovered Le Manoir almost by accident. We had booked rooms in a hotel in Orange for our wine tour only to discover there would be a mjaor problem with security of the vehicle in which we travel, so it was imperative we found alternative accomodation. We were greeted by Brigitte, the owner, who was so helpful... More

A nine hour drive from Calais which included 3 or 4 stops plus a short lunch break. Pleasant rooms although like many French hotels, the rooms don't do the food justice. Good welcome, lovely enclosed garden with a water feature and many interesting "objets" to interest the eyes and enclosed parking with gates that get locked at night. Log fires... More
