Hmmm... I don't "get" the bad reviews. We thought the resort was absolutely beautiful, the service excellent, the food very good, the beach wonderful. We had actually booked at the Kantenah, so were at first disappointed about the switch to the Colonial. However, it surpassed our expectations and we would now choose it over the Kantenah for convenience (unless we... more

We stayed at the Colonial section for a week between July 2 and July 9. While the resort itself has a decent pool, good food, and a nice beach, the service was not up to par at all. The hotel rooms are older and outdated, the guest services is unresponsive- I had to call them constantly to get my refrigerator... more

We booked 10 nights at GP Colonial with Expedia. Stayed there from June 20th till 30th. We go to All-Inclusive resorts twice a year, so we’ve been to few so far. But this resort was simply amazing. Arrived at Cancun airport 30 minutes early and within 15 minutes we were outside waiting for our hotel transfer. Expedia offers Best Day... more

We were not sure if we were going, following the swine flu outbreak, but so glad we did! This was the best holiday we have ever had. The hotel was still running at low capacity when we arrived and it was very quiet (which we liked), but this did not impact on the service in any way. We were given... more

Our flight and private transfer were great, no delays. We arrived at the resort around 4:00 pm. We were offered cold wet clothes but no welcome drink. Check in went smooth. We were in room 1917 (requested 2nd or 3rd floor in Bldg. 8 or 9 so got a room I requested. The location was great to go to Punta... more

While the resort is beautiful (although dated and beginning to show its wear), my room was robbed (watches, cash and more tucked away in the bottom of my closed suitcase). It is my opinion that it is a scam by the hotel and some of the staff. They wait until the last day before you check out so they can... more

This resort was NOT, I repeat NOT worth the money. The service was BAD!! We never were able to get into any of the resturants. The Royal Suites vistor's always got first choice when being seated for dinner in their resturants. Only ate at the buffet because we couldn't get in anywhere else. Buffet food - POOR! No pool service... more

If anyone is looking for a great vacation...this is it. We have never been to a resort where we have fallen in love with it like this one. There is something beautiful about this place and the people who work there. We left feeling like family. The people we met there have become our friends. We want to go back... more

We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Grand Palladium. The resort far exceeded our expectations. The food was wonderful everywhere that we ate; the buffets had a good variety, the a la carte restaruants had excellent service, the only meal that lacked a bit was the beach BBQ but it was still a fun meal. The beaches... more

The buffets were excellent, plenty of choices, they had theme menus every day (for diner), don't know why anyone wouldn't like the food. Not bothered with mosquitoes. Enjoyed the property, taking walks, trying different restaurants, going to different pools, bars, talking to the bartenders, bargaining for souvenirs. Scuba diving in Cozumel was great. Take the local minivans to Playa del... more
