Just returned from a 10 day trip with husband and adult son and daughter. We went with thomson and paid nearly £5000 for the trip. We stayed in standard rooms in the colonial. We have travelled to several other all inclusive hotels in the carribean but this was our first time to mexico. I have really mixed feelings about this... more

First off I want to start by saying, I understand everyone's opinions may be different, but the things people say are disappointing are sometimes pretty ridiculous. I understand someone commented saying the hotel didnt even ask if they liked there trip at check out.... and that made me want to write this review as did all the other reviews that... more

Let me begin by saying that this resort is huge and beautiful. The buildings and grounds are clean and nice. The beach, pools, food and activities are near top notch. It didn't hurt that the weather for 7 days straight was in the high 80s and sunny. Why, you ask, will I never stay there again (or recommend it to... more

We've been to the Grand Palladium many times, this was our third or fourth time. Now usually we stay at the Royal Suites, but this time we were going with a group of family and all of our children; so we stayed at the Colonial to be near to both pools and centrally located to restaurants etc. Some things have... more

Our neice chose the Grand Palladium Colonial for her destination wedding, and boy were we excited! There were 12 of us, including spouses and adult children, among the guest list, and we were so looking forward to this. Although the place is beautiful and generally well-kept, it is just too big. Gone was the intimacy we imagined -- the place... more

My wife and I are big fans of Mexico but this is the second Grand Palladium we've stayed at in as many years and they were both awful. The desk staff were very rude, the bar staff rude and dirty ( letting young girls drink from the bottles at the swim up bar or pouring beers over their fingers ).... more

We stayed at the Grand Palladium Colonial March 16-22nd 2009 after booking at the last minute. We had a wonderful time at this place. Our only real snag was on check in which was around 9:00 or so in the morning. We had terrible visions of disaster when the lady at the desk told us that she had no record... more

Rooms are average but well cleaned and service staff is attentive. The alacarte Food was excellent, with fantastic beach BBQ steak house and the Japenese cooking show shouldn't be missed Pool was busy but not packed considering the amount of people, well maintained and numerous bars including swim up (to deep for those 5'5" or less) Beach was nice with... more

I just stayed here on the Colonial side of the resort March 15th through March 22nd. I rated this location as a 4 star, but its more of a solid 3.5 star. I've traveled around the world, stayed in hotels in about 20 countries and have stayed at oh... 5 or 6 different locations in the Caribbean. First, for those... more
