My husband, three sons and I stayed for a week in Crabtree Cottage on Breach Farm. It was a lovely tranquil setting with access to so many historic houses, gardens, museums and wonderful countryside. We were greeted warmly by the owner Michelle and the cosy cottage was stocked with everything we needed. We also had access to a very good... More

We stopped just the one night. Wish it was more. Easily found, set back off the main road. Michelle was very friendly throughout, at check-in making us tea with cake, offering advice where to eat and visit locally. It is walkable to the village of Carsington but there is no footpath for part of the way so you have to... More

We stayed in Damson Cottage here over the weekend for our daughter's wedding at nearby Shiningford. It was a lovely relaxing bolthole for us. Michelle was very friendly and helpful and made our stay a memorable one. Carsington Water is very near and we managed a walk to the Visitor Centre. Unfortunately we had so little time here but would... More

My husband and I spent 10 days in Damson Cottagen on Breach Farm. We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage is just lovely, beautifully furnished, very well equipped and very clean. Michelle is an amiable host, considerate and very helpful. The surroundings are charming just what one would expect when staying on a farm with sheep bleating and chickens... More

My wife treated me for my birthday to a 3 night stay at Breach farm. Of the 4 holidays we have had this year this was the best. Breach farm is set in a beautiful location, the hostess is extremely pleasant and gives helpful advice. The breakfasts are varied and very generous. I can strongly recommend Breach farm.

We have just had a very comfortable stay at this B and B. The hostess was very friendly and offered very good advise. Our double room had everything we needed plus a lovely view over Carsington Water. The excellent breakfast kept us going for most of the day ! We would not hesitate to stay there again and we will... We stayed in Damson cottage for a week. Michelle (the owner) is very friendly and on hand for any problems. The cottage was extremely well equipped. The bed was comfortable with a lovely feather duvet and the bathroom had a bath (often lacking these days) for soaking tired muscles and a powerful shower. The location is perfect for cycling around... More

Spent a long weekend in Derbyshire visiting various friends and, as my father is 90, the accommodation was a major consideration. Michelle couldn't have been more welcoming and having our own front door and sitting room, with wood burner, as part of our B&B was a real bonus, as we could come back to home comforts whenever we wanted to. The... More

Upon arriving, a warm, friendly greeting was received from both Michelle (the owner) and her lovely canine companions. The B&B where we stayed was cosy and well kept and we both slept very comfortably. The rooms had everything you could want - tea/coffee making facilities, wifi access, a selection of games which would maybe appeal to families on a cold... More
