My family and I spent our spring break at the Azul Ixtapa the week of March 27-Apr 3 and we have no complaints. First off let me start off by saying that we are from Los Angeles California, we are very well traveled and we are also very laid back people that being said let me give you a thorough... More

First and Foremost, this Hotel is gorgeous BUT it is NOT a hotel for anyone who has a hard time walking or going up and down stairs because it has stairs and levels EVERYWHERE! It is not wheelchair friendly in fact it only has one ramp for a wheelchair at a very steep incline so if you are physically challenged... More

We can't complain as at this resort you get what you pay for however there are a few things that travellers should know before booking here. This resort is not close to town and so you will need to be prepared to take a taxi if you want to go anywhere (this will cost you between $12 and $18). If... More

Rooms: We booked the most basic room with Sunwing without balcony. We had to change a room due to noise from disco outside, and move to the opposite side of the building to the ground floor. The rooms were equally clean and reasonably well maintained. Both room have two double beds with reasonably comfortable mattresses and three different pillows, so... More

We had a great time at Azul Ixtapa. The resort is nice, pools are big and the sun is very hot! The resort is a Mexican 4 star but really a 3 star hotel. The beach is a grey sand beach with a lot of sediment in he surf. My kids liked playing in it but it was not very... More

We were at the Azul Ixtapa – it’s a 4 star and fantastic. The 5 star next door The GRAND Azul Ixtapa we visited for a day and ate there twice , its beautiful, much quieter and well deserves the 5 star rating. I loved the food there, the décor, the sports bar and the pool is crazy beautiful with... More

We stayed at the Azul March-April 2015 with our 5 year old and loved the entire trip! Great resort for kids and adults. We would for sure go back. The only thing I didn't love was the food. It was ok..but would have liked a bit more variety or options. Otherwise the staff was very accommodating and friendly and you... More

We stayed at the Azul in March, after visiting Ixtapa in February. The resort is very nice, rooms are clean and very well kept. y wife liked the separate bathroom and mirror and sink for dressing. The room had a coffee maker, 4 fresh towels daily, 2 bath robes and the bed was turned down at night. The food could... More

My daughter(24yrs) and myself(55yrs) spent a great week at the Azul. It has a lot of family's and was very busy during our stay. If I was going with just my hubby. I would definitely stay on the Grand side which is much quieter and modern. Resort is very clean and rooms are spacious enough for two people. We had... More
